Region 4 has been a problem for sometime now. Although there have been some changes as players have graduated and decided to switch things up and go to different schools. Big time prospect Jaxon Kohler who recently committed to Michigan State has left American Fork and will attend his 4th high school in Southern California Academy. The Top 100 prospect will be a huge blow to American Fork which was poised to be one of the best teams in the state. Although they do not completely fall of they do take a significant blow.

Earlier this Spring Pleasant Grove took a hit as their best shooter decided to transfer to in region rival Westlake and a few weeks ago also lost star PG [player_tooltip player_id="934025" first="Jordan" last="Ross"] to Link Year Academy. Pleasant Grove was also one of those top teams that will take a hit as well. Here are some players that will be a key to the success of Region 4 teams.

American Fork

American has some guys that can still score the ball but there is one player in particular that does a lot of everything that had a breakout summer and that is [player_tooltip player_id="967707" first="Yaw" last="Reneer"]. The 6’5 combo wing/forward has a chip on his shoulder. He plays tough defense and he is ready score when given the opportunity. Look for Yaw to be a major impact on the team this up-coming season.

Corner Canyon

Many thought that the loss of two 1st Team All-Region players would send CC into a rebuild, but they are playing very well and they have many players that can contribute. The key to their success will fall on [player_tooltip player_id="934040" first="Max" last="Toombs"]. Max is a tough guard that defends and he can get hot quickly. He gets others involved and he can create tough buckets for himself as well.

Lone Peak

Lone Peak might be a dark horse in 6A but they have never been an easy out. This season they will be a small ball type team that will put shooters on the floor 1-5. For the past few years it seems as though Lone Peak always goes senior heavy and we expect Ben Demille to pick up the slack as a senior PG.

Pleasant Grove

[player_tooltip player_id="1127199" first="McCaden" last="Adams"] is a hooper and he will be a big part of what PG does. He does it all but he is just a tough cover. Smart and high IQ player out on the floor. MaCaden is tough in the open floor because he runs the floor so well. He is a sleeper prospect college coaches need to pay attention to.

Skyridge

Skyridge is looking to have a bounce back year. they will be lead by [player_tooltip player_id="968113" first="Colby" last="Carter"]. With a strong body and his ability to score inside and out he will be a major player in the success of the team. If he can be consistent from deep he can really help Skyridge take it to the next level.

Westlake

Westlake will have a new look and that’s due to the graduation of a lot of their key players. The key to their success will fall on new comer [player_tooltip player_id="968781" first="Dylan" last="Jones"]. If Dylan is given the green light and he can shoot like he did for his club team he will lift Westlake up and make them a contender.
