Group 2 has been one of the top groups in New Jersey over the past couple of seasons. Camden and Manasquan have combined to lose two games over the past two seasons. Manasquan’s lead guard [player_tooltip player_id="901942" first="Ben" last="Roy"] committed to Boston U at the beginning of the week, but the group is still filled with big-time talent. Here are the top available Group 2 prospects in the 2022 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="901941" first="Elijah" last="Perkins"], 6’3 PG Camden

Perkins is the top available prospect in Group 2 and should nicely fit into The High’s system. The 6’3 guard is at his best attacking the basket and finishes strong above the rim. Perkins has a tight handle and makes good passes in the half court. He uses his length and athleticism on the defensive end to make plays and can defend both guard spots. Perkins’ combination of athleticism and talent makes him an intriguing prospect to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="901988" first="Andrew" last="Stack"], 6’2 SG Madison

Stack is a prospect to watch in Morris County as he looks to lead Madison to a deep postseason run. The 6’2 guard is a knockdown shooter from distance with a quick release and an ability to knock down triples in bunches. Stack moves exceptionally well off the ball, freeing himself up for easy jumpers and layups. He has an underrated handle and fights for rebounds. Stack’s ability to shoot the ball from distance will help his stock in a big way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1202198" first="Pat" last="Rogers"], 6’6 SF Rutherford

Rogers had a strong summer with the NJ Panthers and is looking to carry it over into the season. The 6’6 wing is at his best attacking the basket where he is a good finisher and does not mind drawing contact. Rogers is more than just a slasher as he has a nice mid-range game and his range extends out to the three-point line. He is a good rebounder and has the length to defend multiple positions. Rogers is a scoring wing prospect who is looking to make a splash this season.

Brian Herbert, 6’3 SG Robbinsville

Herbert is one of the more underrated prospects in Central Jersey and should burst onto the scene this year. The 6’3 guard is a marksman from deep as he has a quick release and sets his feet before every shot. Herbert moves well off the ball to set himself up for easy jumpers. He is an underrated passer and has a knack for getting his hands in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013047" first="Savon" last="Myers"], 6’5 SF Manchester Township

Myers has been a productive part of Manchester Township’s success over the past two seasons and should have a big senior season. The 6’5 forward has a strong frame which he uses to finish around the basket and draw contact. Myers is a very good passer as he is capable of starting the break with a nice outlet pass. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and makes plays on the defensive end. Myers was a third team All-Shore selection last season and should be an All-Shore selection again at the end of this season.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id="931025" first="Geoff" last="Schroeder"], 6’0 CG Rumson Fair-Haven

[player_tooltip player_id="931024" first="Tommy" last="Mooney"], 6’1 PG Haddonfield

[player_tooltip player_id="1013043" first="Ethan" last="Sutherland"], 6’1 SG Pequannock

D’Marri Brown, 5’9 PG Manchester Township

[player_tooltip player_id="1147096" first="Virgil" last="Scruggs"], SG Deptford
