<p>Reed is one of the best pure lead guards in the state, a talented ball-handler and playmaker who loves to get others involved. He’s lightning-quick with the ball in his hands, is dynamic playing in the pick-and-roll, and is good at picking and choosing the right spots to push the tempo. Also a very talented shooter, Reed is primed to explode this season for the Cougars. </p>

<p>Henderson recently picked up his first Division I offer from South Dakota, and it’s easy to see why. He’s a dynamic offensive player who scores and facilitates at a high level. Like Reed, Henderson does a great job using ball screens to create for himself and others, and he’s cat-quick with the ball.</p>

<p>The future Iowa State point guard was fantastic last season in his return from an ACL injury that took away his sophomore season. He does an excellent job changing speeds and playing with pace to help get by defenders, and has outstanding court vision with an ability to fit passes into really tight spaces that few others in the state possess. </p>

<p><strong>4.) 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="682265" first="Trey" last="Campbell"] (Cedar Falls) - 5.0</strong></p>
<p>Campbell recently committed to play his college ball at Northern Iowa. A long and athletic lead guard at 6-4, he's quick and does a great job getting into the paint and kicking out to open shooters. He looks to push the tempo and is a great finisher in transition as well.</p>

<p>The future high-major wing does a little bit of everything for the Lynx, finding himself on nearly every list that we've done of top returnees in statistical categories. At 6-5, he handles the ball well and sees the floor extremely well. He knows when to get others involved and when he needs to take over as a scorer.</p>

<p><strong>6.) 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="784974" first="Jamison" last="Gruber"] (Council Bluffs Lincoln) - 4.3</strong></p>
<p>The other piece of the Lynx's fantastic backcourt, Gruber is a pass-first guard who does a great job handling on-ball pressure and seeing the whole court. He has really improved his scoring ability over the last 18 months as well, taking some pressure off of Dix as a scoring threat, which will make CBAL even more dangerous.</p>

<p><strong>7.) 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="682291" first="Armonniey" last="Thomas"] (Marshalltown) - 3.8</strong></p>
<p>Thomas is another lead guard who is really quick with the ball in his hands. He has tremendous length and is a plus-athlete who holds an offer from Florida International. He has the ability to get to the bucket seemingly at will, and he does a great job finishing through contact when he gets there or finding an open teammate for an easy look.</p>

<p><strong>8.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1171658" first="Trovary" last="Cavil"] (Lincoln) - 3.8</strong></p>
<p>Cavil was excellent as a freshman for the Railsplitters last season, averaging 15.0 points in the loaded CIML and leading the team in assists. He's a heady lead guard with a good feel for the game, an excellent mid-range game, and the ability to execute at a high level in the pick-and-roll game.</p>

<p>Hutton is a well-built guard who stuffs the stat sheet for the Wolverines, averaging 16.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists a game last year. He uses his strength well on both ends of the floor and has a good feel for the game.</p>

<p><strong>10.) 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1158457" first="Cooper" last="Nailor"] (Indianola) - 3.7</strong></p>
<p>Nailor was a solid lead guard last year for the Indians, and he’ll have the ball in his hands more this season following the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="1154087" first="CJ" last="Kuehl"]. He’s a really good perimeter shooting threat, and he loves to push the tempo and get others easy buckets in transition. </p>
