Ahead of the 2021-22 high school season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin breaks down the top available forwards and centers in the 2022 class...

1. [player_tooltip player_id="761417" first="Danilo" last="Jovanovich"] - Whitnall

Mid-major coaches were raving about Jovanovich in July. The 6-foot-7 combo forward is a big mismatch nightmare with his ability to score with skill and finesse on the block, face-up in the mid-range, or pull bigs away from the rim and attack off the bounce. Illinois, Wake Forest, Penn State, USC, DePaul, Toledo, Western Illinois, and Illinois-Chicago have all made offers to Jovanovich.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="988983" first="Noah" last="Feddersen"] - Menomonie

Feddersen holds Division 1 scholarship offers from UW-Green Bay and American. There's also a handful of Division 2 schools hoping he falls. The 6-foot-8 forward is a prospect that can not only help a college team early considering his strength, athleticism, and mobility, but also has a good deal of upside left. Feddersen runs the floor really well for his size, and can score 1-on-1 on the block, and shows flashes of versatility from the 3-point line.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="865834" first="Amari" last="Jedkins"] - Racine Case

Appalachian State and Western Illinois have both offered Jedkins. An athletic, high-upside forward, Jedkins is a high-flying forward who can do some special things in transition. Jedkins can really impact a game above the rim and in the open floor, able to make momentum-shifting plays. If the skill development catches up, he could be a big steal for a mid-major program.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="865839" first="Darrien" last="Long"] - Racine Horlick

Speaking of upside, not too many prospects have a higher ceiling than Long. The 6-foot-5 combo forward has a terrific frame and is arguably the best leaper in Wisconsin's 2022 class. He's definitely a tweener, but showed some vastly improved shooting ability from the outside and more skill as a slasher from the high post. Long listed Winona State, UW-Whitewater, Elmhurst, Lakeland College, and UW-Stout as the schools tracking him.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="950099" first="Carter" last="Thomas"] - Neenah

Per his AAU program, Thomas has interest from Bemidji State, Michigan Tech, Winona State, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Eau Claire, Loras, Valley City State, and more. The 6-foot-6 forward is one of the best slashers at his position and excels as knifing through the defense with limited dribbles. Thomas is a consistent 3-point shooter and that can score in the pick n' pop game and is an underrated interior defender/rebounder as well. He'll give you the little things that makes teams better, but if opposing teams forget about him, Thomas is also capable of exploding offensively.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="865840" first="Nathan" last="Gapinski"] - Watertown

Gapinski listed Michigan Tech, Clarke, UW-Whitewater, UW-Oshkosh, and Carthage College as schools currently showing interest. The 6-foot-6 forward has a high ceiling and is a terrific athlete who glides above the rim. Gapinski has steadily expanded his game further and further away from the rim and continues to take steps in the right direction. Could be a steal at the Division 3 level as these types of measurables don't come along often from post prospects.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="950098" first="Juok" last="Riak"] - Madison La Follette

Riak is coming off an injury and it sounds like will miss most of, if not all of his senior season. A dirty work player who can battle under the rim, Riak is an imposing rebounding/shot block presence inside. Riak has one of the best motors in the state and is able to win a lot of second-chance points for his team.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="1198416" first="Jeb" last="Nytes"] - Plymouth

Nytes is picking up Division 2 and Division 3 interest per his AAU coach. UW-Platteville and UW-Oshkosh are showing the most love at this time. A late bloomer, Nytes is a long, athletic forward that gets and down the floor well for his size. He's also got some budding versatility as someone who can handle and shoot the ball a bit away from the rim. Think his best days are definitely ahead of him.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="865861" first="Cade" last="Feldhausen"] - Appleton East

Feldhausen has always looked the part as a mobile, 6-foot-8 forward with ideal size. Think at the end of the summer, he started to turn a corner and play some of his best ball. Feldhausen appeared more comfortable with his primary post moves and footwork. When he brings energy and effort consistently, Feldhausen can also be a force on the defensive end.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="865842" first="Jayquan" last="Hickles"] - Milwaukee King

Hickles plays the game with as much passion or as hard as anyone. He's undersized at 6-foot-5 and isn't overly athletic, but makes up for it with heart. Hickles goes into every game knowing he's not going to be the focal point of the offense, but that doesn't detract from his duties. He's going to control the glass, play sound interior defense, and work his tail off for second chance opportunities. Hickles is a better post-up threat than advertised though. A strong, bruising forward, Hickles has a great understanding of post position and can pin his man right under the rim.

Others: [player_tooltip player_id="1200543" first="Jacob" last="Naber"] (Janesville Parker), [player_tooltip player_id="880004" first="Jake" last="Martin"] (Whitewater), [player_tooltip player_id="801159" first="Greg" last="Kemp"] (Menomonee Falls), [player_tooltip player_id="865844" first="Nolan" last="Hawk"] (DeForest)
