The Shore Conference has had a strong stretch of basketball recently with three straight seasons of a team finishing in the top 5 in the state. The two-time Shore Conference Player of the Year [player_tooltip player_id="901942" first="Ben" last="Roy"] committed to Boston University yesterday, but the conference is still full of prospects who can make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available 2022 prospects in the Shore Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="931028" first="Jack" last="Seidler"], 6’5 SF Marlboro

Seidler is the top available prospect in the Shore Conference and is looking to close out his varsity career on a high note. The 6’5 wing knows how to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. Seidler has a smooth mid-range game and a nice release on his jumper. He is a good rebounder and can handle the ball on the perimeter. Seidler is a scoring wing prospect who should lead Marlboro deep into the postseason.

[player_tooltip player_id="901983" first="DJ" last="Thomson"], 6’3 PG Keyport

Thomson has been putting up big numbers on the gridiron so far this fall and should put up big numbers on the hardwood as well. The athletic 6’3 guard is at his best attacking the basket and does not mind drawing contact. Thomson can also score in the mid-range and can hit open jumpers from behind the arc. He is a solid passer and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Thomson eclipsed the 1,000-point mark during his junior season and will be looking to end his Keyport career on a high note.

[player_tooltip player_id="901979" first="Nate" last="Williams"], 6’3 SG St. John Vianney

Williams has been a steady presence for the Lancers on the wing and is ready for a big-time senior season. The 6’3 guard has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Williams is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He plays with quick hands on defense and knows how to jump passing lanes. Williams is an under the radar prospect to keep an eye on in the Shore Conference this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="901973" first="Brandon" last="Klatsky"], 6’3 SG Ranney

Klatsky is the only player left from Ranney’s 2019 TOC winning squad who scored in a game that season and should have a breakout final season. The 6’3 guard is a marksman from deep with a clean shooting stroke and a quick release. Klatsky moves exceptionally well off the ball and does not force up shots in the half court. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and is unafraid of drawing charges on the defensive end. Klatsky’s ability to knock down jumpers is something that will help him out in a big way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="901981" first="Colin" last="Ackerman"], 6’0 PG Wall

Ackerman has been a key part of Wall’s success over the past three seasons and will be tasked with more of a scoring role in 2021-22. The 6’0 guard runs the offense efficiently and is not fazed by on-ball pressure. Ackerman knows how to beat his defender off the bounce and finish through contact around the basket. He is a good passer and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Ackerman is a gritty, floor general who has the potential to eclipse the 1,000-point mark this season.

Other Prospects to Watch:

Jon Spatola (Jonathan), 5’8 PG Marlboro

[player_tooltip player_id="901965" first="Charles" last="Anyichie"], 6’7 PF Ranney

[player_tooltip player_id="901949" first="Justin" last="Soranno"], 6’6 SF/PF Central Regional

[player_tooltip player_id="1013047" first="Savon" last="Myers"], 6’5 SF Manchester Regional

[player_tooltip player_id="931026" first="Cy" last="Arvanitis"], 6’3 SG Red Bank Catholic
