The PH 2022 Rankings have been updated. We have expanded the list by 40 names giving us approximately 121 players in our updated rankings system. Because of the shut down we were unable update our rankings. When the state reopened, PH was in the gym evaluating as many NorCal Prospects as possible during the 3 live periods in July. We will continue to expand and grow our rankings list moving forward. Here’s part I of our new additions.

[player_tooltip player_id="1266054" first="Derrick" last="Claxton"] 6’7 G/W of Inderkum HS, Sacramento, CA.

Claxton is one of the top players in NorCal who we hadn’t seen a lot of because of the shut down; He spent a good amount of time playing on the UA Circuit out of state. He’s a fluid guard with good movement on the court. He has the ability to score buckets throughout a game in a variety of ways mostly taking his man off the dribble and getting to his spots for shots. He hits the mid-range jumpers with some efficiency.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253966" first="James" last="Frye"] 6’5 G/F of Miramonte HS, Miramonte, CA.

Frye had a productive summer. He’s a 6’5 player who brings some versatility to the court. He handles well for a player his size, he has good vision passing the ball up court, and he looks to take his shots when the opportunity arise. He’s long, runs the court, and will help out on the boards. He has a good outside shot.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254443" first="Thomas" last="Labat"] 6’7 F/PF of Dublin HS Dublin, CA.

When we first saw Labat, we thought project at best, we’ll give him some time. Our opinion on this player has changed, he’s worked hard over the summer and it’s paying off. He’s improved his inside game, and is now working to better his outside shot. An improving inside/out prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254030" first="Will" last="Heimbrodt"] 6’7 SF of Sir Francis Drake HS, San Anselmo, CA.

Heimbrodt showed good activity in the post area, challenging shooters who drove inside. He has a good frame, and square shoulders, he’ll probably bulk up a bit more. He works to rebound, he runs the court well. He can score inside and has a decent jump shot.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254870" first="Rashaud" last="Bradley"] 6’4 SF of Sheldon HS, Sacramento CA.

Bradley is a strong player who at 6’4 gets a lot done inside for his team. He’s a decent ball handler, and makes good decisions with the ball, his mid-range jumper goes in for him, but his strength to the team is his work around the post area. He battles for rebounds on both ends, defends bigger players, and finishes strong inside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254006" first="Nick" last="Graves"] 6’4 SG of Oak Ridge HS, Eldorado, CA.

Graves gives good effort on the court. He has good movement without the ball. He looks to catch, and shoot with a good release on his shot, or he’ll use a good first step on the dribble drive to the elbow for a jumper that’s pretty consistent. He’s a threat with the ball on the perimeter. His passing is good.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253965" first="Javon" last="Johnson"] 6’4 G/W/F of De La Salle HS, Concord, CA.

Johnson a versatile player who can help his team in a lot of areas on the court. He doesn’t stuff the stat sheet with points, but he does contribute to the facilitation of the offense, and helps on the defensive side. He can run the offense, he’ll work off the ball on the perimeters, and he’s strong enough to get buckets inside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1255322" first="Ned" last="Joyce"] 6’2 CG of Pleasant Valley HS, Chico, CA.

Joyce plays a solid floor game, he’s a solid contributor to both guard positions. He’s a willing passer with good vision to find shooters, and cutters on the move. He moves well without the ball, making good use of screens to get open for shots. The lefty has a good catch and shoot from 3. He’s active on the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id="1206986" first="Kyle" last="Monk"] 6’3 SG of Gregori HS, Modesto, CA.

Monk has good court awareness. He’s active on the defensive side talking, fighting through screens. His arms are extended out disrupting passing lanes. He’s a quality scorer on the offensive end, with a good shot from 3, he can get his own shot. He’s a secure ball handler, with good strong passes up, and across the court. He makes good decision with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270873" first="Joseph" last="Espy"] 6’9 Center of Pleasant Grove HS.

Espy is a big body still growing with broad shoulders. He has plenty of room to grow his game. He’s wide and takes up space in the post. He’ll set solid screens, rolling to the post, ready to receive entry pass. He has good hands, makes solid passes from the post. He’s got strength going up on the block. He’s good for 10 boards a game
