PH NorCal Rankings have been updated. The following players have been evaluated, and have been recognized as players who should be added to our rankings system. PH makes every effort to scout, and evaluate players in the NorCal Region when ever possible. Here are the newest additions to the 2022 class who have stood out this past summer during the live period and will most likely be impact players going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253963" first="Cahal" last="Connolly"] 6’9 C of Bishop O’Dowd HS. Oakland, CA.

Connelly will have the post all to him self after the #1 player in the 2023 class opted to go pro with OTE. Bishop O’Dowd is one of the top basketball programs in NorCal. Connelly has made steady progress as a player. He’s a big body with an improved game in the low post. He’s not fast, but active. His improved footwork, along with a good touch around the basket will help. He has the body to bang the boards and defend in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253694" first="Nick" last="Medeiros"] 5’10 PG of St. Patrick-St. Vincent HS.

Medeiros is a confident guard who can run the teams offense, he has the speed and the handles to operate effectively in transition and in half courts sets. He can get into the paint for his shot, or kick outs to shooters spotting up outside. He’s bouncy on defense with good quickness and lateral movement to disrupt ball handlers at times.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253695" first="Khai" last="Curry"] 6’0 PG of American Canyon HS.

A good ball handler and facilitator, willing to make sure the offense gets set in half court. He plays with good energy, and likes to get the team going in the transition game. He can get into the paint for jumpers in the key. He has good footspeed, and defends well in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id="1269263" first="Chris" last="Sanders"] 6’7 SF of Salesian Prep HS.

Sanders is a wiry player with good long arms to guard and disrupt shooters on the perimeter. He’s a decent defender in the paint area long enough to change, and block shots at times. He has good hops, will get out and run the court. He’s a good finisher around the rim with his length.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254014" first="Omari" last="Nesbit"] 6’0 PG of Burbank HS, Sacramento, CA.

Nesbit was a solid performer during the live period against good competition. He’s a calm player with a good set of skills at the guard position to be effective on or off ball. He has a good burst to go by defenders, he gets good lift on his mid-range jumper, and has the quickness to defend on ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1266053" first="Mekhi" last="Thomas"] 6’4 W of Dublin HS. Dublin, CA.

Thomas a long, and bouncy players who loves to attack the rim going to his left. He attacks hard in transition looking for dunks, and other ways to get points. He gets good lift in the key to convert his jumper over taller players. He’s an active defender, who guard on the perimeter, and help rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254015" first="Isaiah" last="Griffin"] 6’2 CG of Burbank HS, Sacramento, CA

A good athletic guard who gets up the court good, whether he’s pushing the ball, or filling lanes, he seem to be involved in the play. He has good hops to go for the dunk, but can finish in other ways, including a mid-range jumper. He can handle the ball up top, get into the lane, and finish through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254025" first="Timothy" last="Netane"] 6’5 W/F of St. Francis HS Mountain View, CA.

Netane at 6’5 is an effective post player at this level on both ends. He can score around the basket. He’s a strong rebounder, and he runs the court pretty well. He has shown some ability to handle, and work from the perimeter. He’ll shoot it if he’s open.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254448" first="Robert" last="Salmon"] 6’7 F of Pitman HS. Turlock, CA.

Salmon a bouncy forward who looks to block, and change shots around the rim. He has good awareness in the post, and doesn’t stand around. He make his man work for points, and the ball in the paint. He’s good at denying the entry pass. He’s developing his offensive package, and should be a double-double at this level. We’ll keep an eye on him.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254010" first="Brandon" last="McGautha"] 6’1 PG of Monte Vista HS. Danville, CA.

McCautha handles himself well on the court. He’s a bit on the thin side which can be misleading. He’s a superb ball handler who takes good care of the ball, and does a solid job of facilitating the offense. He has good vision, and excellent passing skills. If you’re open he’ll find you. Just when you slack off he’ll attack using a dribble drive jumper at the elbow. He also has a good shot from 3pt.
