Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top in-state Class of 2022 forwards from last weekend’s Prep Hoops 2k21 in Indianapolis, IN

[player_tooltip player_id="984500" first="Jevon" last="Porter"] 6’11" MPJ Elite: The Father Tolton standout showcased his all-around skills and looked dominant at times. He was leading the break and dropping dimes, knocking down 3-pointers and scoring in the low post. He also had an impact on the defensive end with his shot blocking. Pepperdine got a good one.

[player_tooltip player_id="824124" first="Jalen" last="Hampton"] 6’6’ MPJ Elite: The athletic combo forward produced in a big way with his big motor and explosiveness. His perimeter skills are constantly evolving with his improved 3-point shooting and ball handling. He was attacking the basket with vigor and hitting the offensive boards. He is headed to Link Year Prep.

[player_tooltip player_id="984943" first="Kortez" last="Stevenson"] 6’6" KC Spurs Black: I always enjoy watching nimble lefty power forward play because of how he uses his physical strength and skill set to advantage. He buffalos defenders inside with footwork and power moves in the post. He also hit 3-pointers off the catch and got buckets off the straight line drive.

Omar Henry 6’7" MPJ Elite: The Link Year forward was one of the most explosive players in the field. He had some rim-rattling dunks in transition. His skill set is pretty solid as he can handle the ball and hit the Corner 3. When he’s locked it, he can be formidable. He continues to attract Division l interest and pick up offers.

Caleb Thompson 6’5" Gateway-Knights: The combo forward from Westminster put in his usual workmanlike effort. He used his quickness to beat bigger defenders off the dribble and he was an active rebounder at both ends. He was a double-double threat every time he stepped on the floor. Enjoyed a very productive summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180615" first="Emmanuel" last="Byrd"] 6’7" 816 Hoops-Shamet: The Staley High forward is one of the most improved players that I watched over the summer. He was always a solid rebounder and shot blocker, but he has expanded his game to include ball handling and perimeter shooting. He can also guard multiple positions with his mobility.

[player_tooltip player_id="992314" first="Miles" last="Fant"] 6’6" 816 Hoops-Shamet: A versatile post player from Park Hill South who has an excellent jump hook from the left block over the left shoulder. He’s long and very active inside. He can also take his game outside with his ball handling and 3-point shooting capability.
