PH Top 250 Louisiana Preview & Players to Watch

Prep Hoops (PH) has brought their Top 250 event back to Louisiana for the 2021-2022 academic year. The event on Saturday, August 21st will be a showcase of some of the best basketball talent around the state of Louisiana. Everyone from small guards to post players will get a chance to perform in front of Prep Hoops scouts and coaches in attendance. In this article, we preview the event and look at some of the players to watch when game play kicks off at the Baton Rouge SportsPlex.

The Wildcat guard is a two-way player with a high ceiling. He gets to the rim against practically anyone and has consistent range to 20 feet. He is very hard to defend if his jumper is going.

Brookter is one of the up-and-coming players from the 2024 class with a ton of potential. He is an active defender who creates turnovers with his on ball defense. Brookter also has a baseline jumper that is true most times as well.

Johnson was a pest on the Prep Hoops Circuit with his ability to turn defense into offense in such as quick fashion. His skill driving into the paint has really set him apart from others this summer.

The shooting guard from West Monroe has the ability to shoot the ball from deep very well. He as been a backbreaker for teams for two seasons now in northeast Louisiana. It will be interesting to see him play more with the ball in his hands.

The state champion from Port Allen is another with a varied skill set that makes him dangerous from various spots on the floor. Brooks can score from outside and put it on the deck. His defense is top notch as well.
The 100-plus prospects in Baton Rouge will have plenty opportunity to play their best before coaches in attendance and those streaming on BallerTV. With rankings updates coming soon, this will be some preps last attempt to improve their rating until the season is in full swing. This exposure event begins at 11 with warmup drills before game play begins.
