Passion Region Finals: 17U Standouts Pt. 2

<p><strong>2022 5-9 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1044916" first="Justin" last="Brown"] – GCPC Stars – Williamson (AL)<br /> </strong>Brown was the quickest guard I saw this weekend. Shifty and electrifying, Brown was impossible to keep from getting to his spots. He broke down defenders and got to the basket when he wanted. Justin relied heavily on his outside shot as he created separation and could pull-up on a dime. He poured in 22 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals against Quiet Storm.</p> <p><strong>2021 6-4 G [player_tooltip player_id="1047098" first="Keith" last="Murray"] – MVA Outlawz – Morris College<br /> </strong>Morris College is getting a good one in [player_tooltip player_id="1047098" first="Keith" last="Murray"]. The wiry guard is starting to come into his own. He’s a three-level scorer that has improved as a playmaker. He excelled defensively against the Auburn Raptors, posting 15 points, 5 assists and 5 steals.</p> <p><strong>2022 6-5 SG [player_tooltip player_id="725180" first="Caleb" last="Paige"] – Auburn Raptors – Eufaula (AL)<br /> </strong>[player_tooltip player_id="725180" first="Caleb" last="Paige"] is a matchup nightmare. He’s a physically imposing guard that is powerful to the rim, using his muscular physique to overwhelm most defenders. What makes Paige special is his skill level. He doesn’t just bull over opponents, he has an accurate three-point shot that keeps defenses off balance. Caleb drilled 4 threes en route to 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.</p> <p><strong>2022 6-5 W [player_tooltip player_id="725181" first="Joshua" last="Paige"] – Auburn Raptors – Eufaula (AL)<br /> </strong>Much like his twin brother, Josh Paige is a power wing. He can shoot the ball from distance as well, but Josh’s bread was buttered in the paint, aggressively attacking rebounds and drawing fouls inside. He hit a pair of threes and finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals against the MVA Outlawz.</p> <p><strong>2022 6-7 C Yvens Paul – For The Love (4TL) – Barron Collier (FL)<br /> </strong>D-I schools will want to check in on Yvens Paul and certainly he’s a priority at the D-II level. You can’t teach size and athleticism. With a 7-foot wingspan, Paul swats everything in his jurisdiction. He’s an elite rim protector that also serves as a rim-runner, adept at catching lobs in transition. His offensive game comes on putbacks, but Paul does have a hook shot in his repertoire. Paul hung 6 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 9 blocks to start the event. I could see him going JUCO or prep and re-emerging as a defensive anchor somewhere if he doesn’t like the offers he has this time next year.</p>
