It’s always fun to watch that player that can just take over a game. Whether it’s offensively, defensively, or through their leadership. it’s fun to watch an athlete take control and lead their team to a win. Let’s look at 5 seniors that can take over a game at any time.

[player_tooltip player_id="787618" first="Ty" last="Rodgers"] (SF, Grand Blanc, MeanStreets EYBL)

This one seems pretty obvious doesn’t it? We’ve been seeing [player_tooltip player_id="787618" first="Ty" last="Rodgers"] control games for years now. It’s not just his ferocious finishes at the rim though. Rodgers controls games with his disciplined hard nosed defense and his willingness to do the little things. These allow him to control a game from all different facets.

[player_tooltip player_id="863928" first="Orlando" last="Lovejoy"] (CG, Summit Academy, Bates Fundamentals EYBL)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #6

Lovejoy can take over a game without his opponent even realizing it. He’s a firecracker with the ball and can score in bunches. The best part is, he can dominate by scoring himself or by creating for his teammates off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id="863939" first="Derrick" last="Voltz"] (SG, Carrollton, EAT Athletics)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #18

There aren’t many, if any, better pure athletes in the state than Voltz. His shiftiness combined with his basically limitless range make him one of the toughest stops in the state. When Voltz gets rolling on offense......Best of luck.

[player_tooltip player_id="1128345" first="Ramere" last="Draper"] (CG, Wyoming, B3 Athletics)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #37

Draper has shown his dominance during grassroots season. He has on multiple occasions, controlled games with the ball in his hands. Draper can make a scoreboard operators hands sore. He has been one of the fastest rising prospects in the state for a reason.

[player_tooltip player_id="1067860" first="Jalen" last="Overway"] (PF, Holland Christian, MBA Lakeshore National)

Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #46

Overway has controlled games all spring and summer. His mere existence in the paint has been changing how offenses attack. Overway has also controlled the glass throughout grassroots season.
