[player_tooltip player_id="1211386" first="Jadyn" last="Cascio-Jensen"] | CG | Bellevue West

The former Fremont Tiger will suit up for the Thunderbirds this season, adding to the already-loaded Bellevue West roster. I am interested to see how many varsity minutes Cascio-Jensen will receive this year, but he could be one of the better playmakers off the bench in Class A. He is a terrific shooter off the dribble or off-ball, and he has solid vision and passing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253989" first="Isaiah" last="McMorris"] | CG | Millard North

Despite losing the program’s best class in history to graduation, Millard North will have plenty of athletes to fill their lineup. McMorris is lightning quick and will put consistent pressure on the rim for the Mustangs. I still need to see more from his scoring capabilities, but he is steady with the ball and will draw help defense whenever he wants.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253990" first="Carter" last="Mick"] | SG | Lincoln East

The Lincoln East sniper is most known for his three-point shooting, and rightfully so. He is one of the best in his class when it comes to spreading the floor with his range. The playmaking ability took a big step forward this summer. In the clip below, you can see his ability to read the defense and make quick decisions in the pick and roll, and fire strong passes off a live-dribble.

https://youtu.be/GaCw9qx7xhU

[player_tooltip player_id="1253974" first="Marquis" last="Toliver"] | PG | Creighton Prep

Toliver is a steady lead ball-handler who takes care of the ball. He can capitalize on driving lanes when they are available, but does not create them much for himself. He has strength which helps him fight through traffic and fire quick, direct passes to shooters.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253978" first="Kyler" last="Hellbusch"] | SG | North Bend Central

Hellbusch’s game can fly under-the-rader, as he isn’t a high-flyer or sniper from distance. He is always in the right spot on both ends, though. It seems like he would not be a good defender at the point of attack, but he uses strength, not speed, to keep his man contained. He is a great team defender, which is much more impactful than point of attack defense, and he knows how to track rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253976" first="Camden" last="Monie"] | SF | Millard North

Monie was a great glue player for OSA 15U National Crouch this summer. He does a lot of the things I mentioned above for [player_tooltip player_id="1253978" first="Kyler" last="Hellbusch"], but he is a better athlete. He can score, although he wasn’t asked to do much of that this summer. I saw some playmaking flashes towards the end of the summer which were promising for his future.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253997" first="Dane" last="Jacobsen"] | CG | Ashland-Greenwood

Despite usually being the smallest player on the floor, Jacobsen consistently made plays all summer long. His off-ball defense stood out every game. He reads the eyes of the ball-handler and jumps passing lanes. His size can be a disadvantage in one-on-one situations, but he did a great job of denying the ball with his positioning which helped him avoid those situations. I would imagine he rises in the rankings as his body develops throughout his career.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253988" first="Taye" last="Moore"] | PG | Lincoln Southeast

At this early in their development, it can be really difficult to make distinctions between players outside the top ten, but I already feel I may have slotted Moore too low. He is crafty with the ball in his hands. His quick feet and efficient footwork make him very difficult to stay in front of without help. Hesitancy in the midrange area can lead to some turnovers or ill-advised shots sometimes, but overall, Moore is a great option at the point guard position.
