With the summer hoops season officially coming to an end, here are four class of 2024 prospects to keep your eye on heading into the high school season. These prospects really impressed me this summer and I'd expect them to continue to develop and progress moving forward.

Carson Jones | Deer Creek HS (Oklahoma) | 5’11" Guard

I had a chance to watch Carson at the Grind Region Finals over the summer and came away completely impressed with his offensive skillset and high motor on the defensive end. He has a beautiful jump shot for his age and averaged nearly 17 PPG against good competition. If Carson can continue shooting at a high-level, he will likely draw interest from college programs moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="1222263" first="Donny" last="Thomas"] | Bishop HS (Texas) | 6’2″ Guard

Donny has all of the tools and size to become a division one prospect in the future. His length & ability to score at all three levels make him a nightmare matchup on any given night. He also boasts a high basketball IQ and is the kind of player all coaches want on their team. If he can continue his elite shooting from the perimeter he will certainly see his stock continue to rise.

[player_tooltip player_id="1237975" first="Sam" last="McCormick"] | Bixby HS (Oklahoma) | 6’4″ Guard

Sam is one of the better athletes you’ll find in the class of 2024 and he certainly uses it to his advantage. He is an elite finisher capable of making contested and off-balance shots around the rim. His presence is especially felt on the defensive end where he seems to always be in the right position to make a steal or block. At his size, he projects as a prototypical college wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="1204918" first="Dontrell" last="Watson"] | Manor GS (Texas) | 5’11" Guard

Dontrell is the definition of a scorer. The lefty guard has a smooth shot and has really nice touch around the rim. He’s able to score at all three levels and is not afraid to finish through contact. As Dontrell’s game progresses, I’d expect him to become even more lethal on offense. With his HS strength workouts, He should continue to grow stronger each year as well which will only make him harder to guard when attacking the paint.
