<p>After a great summer session of hoops throughout the state of Kansas, we come to rankings time again as we prepare for the fall season of exposure camps, elite camps, and individual skill work. The class of 2022 in Kansas is a special bunch and it has created quite the level of competition throughout the state. Even with some big names leaving to play elsewhere, this is still a top tier class.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076411" first="Fred" last="Criqui"], 6’7 F, St Mary’s, SSA Elite 2022 Black, 34 spots, #50: Coming off of a monster summer picking up interest from the NAIA and DII levels including multiple NAIA offers, the St Mary's big man should be one of the league favorites for player of the year in the Mid East. Really have improved his game in the last year becoming explosive, finishing off pick and roll, knocking down the intermediate jump shot, and an offensive put back machine. One of the top pick and roll defending bigs in Kansas.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076405" first="Howard" last="Johnson"], 6’1 G, Junction City, SSA Elite 2022 Black, 13 Spots, #34: Had a really solid junior campaign split into two parts battling back from an injury to earn All League and State honors at 6A. Had a terrific summer on the grassroots scene and garnered a ton of college attention as well as showcased the top tier 3 point shooting, attacking off the bounce, and improved playmaking on the elite camp scene as well.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076397" first="Sebastian" last="Hamm"], 6’1 PG, Blue Valley Southwest, Team KC, 13 spots, #35: Ran the point for a really solid Team KC this summer, shot the ball at a really high clip during the live period, and limited the turnovers. Should be poised to help lead a much improved BVSW squad this year. A really solid overall point guard who continues to improve his game on both ends of the floor.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="952447" first="Carson" last="Kieffer"], 6’1 PG, Hays, WKE Elite Blue, 11 spots, #61: A high IQ point guard who plays really tough with the ball in his hands and on the defensive end. Another lead guard who will help play a role for a high quality Hays team this season. Knocked down open shots, got his teammates involved, and has improved his playmaking over the summer.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076403" first="Brett" last="Sarwinski"], 5’10 PG, Galena, 6 spots, #30: Great leader in the back court and a player who should be on a ton of radars to rake in a ton of accolades once again this season leading a loaded Galena team. Really crafty with the ball, makes big time shots, rebounds, defends, and finishes with both hands in the painted area. An all around big time point guard.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="891913" first="Jaron" last="Briggs"], 6’4 G, Piper, KC Spurs Black, 5 spots, #14 (Pictured): Briggs is a tough, athletic, and talented guard who can play a ton of roes on the basketball floor. His defensive prowess and improvement over the summer really stood out especially in July making a ton of plays guarding off the ball and guarding great offensive guards. Scored the ball from all three level at a high clip all summer against some top tier competition.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076260" first="Elijah" last="Brooks"], 6’4 W, Topeka West, SSA Elite 2022 Black, 3 spots, #33: An athletic wing player who can play up at the rim, finish off both one and two feet, can guard a variety of positions, and is electric in transition. Already one of the premier players on the state runner up in 5A last year, Brooks will have an even more expanded role.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1195608" first="Corbin" last="Dozier"], 6’5 W, Olathe South, United KC, 3 spots, #91: Landed an offer from Friends University in the last week, Dozier had a really solid summer on the grass roots scene. Has nice length and is a great shooter. Can lead the break off rebounds, can play as a trailer, and continues to improve off the bounce attacking.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id="946254" first="Kyle" last="Grill"], 6’6 PG, Maize, Mid Kansas, 2 spots, #29: A dynamic point guard prospect with tremendous size and ability. Sees the floor extremely well with his vision and length. In transition Grill makes a ton of things happen both as a scorer and distributer of the basketball. A pivotal part of the tremendous state champ Maize last year, ran the show for the solid Mid Kansas Elite squad and will be back to make another deep playoff run.</p>
