The state of North Carolina still has a ton of unsigned 2022 talent left on the board. Here's a look at Part I of some 2022 prospects that could use some attention.

[player_tooltip player_id="1262581" first="Connor" last="Ballou"] | 6’1 Guard | Northwest Guilford

Ballou is a prospect due for a boost in his recruitment very soon. He had a solid spring/summer with the NC Gaters, showing off his range, strength on defense and ability to make plays off the bounce. While he holds an offer from Mary Baldwin, look for his recruitment to grow heading into a new season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1237807" first="Trevor" last="Button"] | 6’2 Guard | Emerson Waldorf

Button is a prospect that made a name for himself this past summer with Brothers Basketball. He’s a prospect with a high IQ off the bounce with nice footwork that allows him to score on all three levels with ease. He’s an emerging threat that is due for a strong senior season at Emerson Waldorf.

[player_tooltip player_id="574443" first="Camian" last="Shell"] | 5’11 Point Guard | Quality Education Academy

Shell is due for a breakout senior season after showing off his ability to win and defend this past summer with Big Shots Winston-Salem Select. He’s a gritty defender that uses his quickness and strength to make his presence felt. Offensively, he makes plays for himself and others off the bounce and gets to the paint at will.

[player_tooltip player_id="1239918" first="Marshall" last="Klug"] | 6’7 Forward/Wing | Feltrim Academy

Klug is an easy choice for a breakout prospect heading into a new high school season given his ability to affect the game on the wing and in the paint. He’s got nice mobility and athleticism he uses well at his size to attack the rim with authority and operate off the bounce. He’s due for a strong senior year at Feltrim Academy.

[player_tooltip player_id="1032848" first="Jaxon" last="Ellingsworth"] | 6’8 Forward | West Carteret

Ellingsworth is a mobile forward with a ton of versatility at his disposal at West Carteret. He’s looking to pick up where he left off this past season operating inside and out while manning the boards as well. Colleges in need of a versatile big that can handle and defend, look no further.
