<p>The new 2022 rankings are out.</p>

<p>We dive into the positional rankings. We move over to the combo guards for the senior class. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>A high IQ group of skill and strength.</p>
<p>Here are the top-10 CG’s in the 2022 class: </p>
<p>1. [player_tooltip player_id="787678" first="Lamar" last="Washington"] <strong>AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)</strong></p>
<p>One of the strongest guards on the West Coast. He handles it well versus pressure and gets downhill easily. He is a good passer and will hit shots from the perimeter. </p>
<p>2. [player_tooltip player_id="701245" first="Mekhi" last="Mason"] <strong>AZ Compass Prep</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>RICE</strong> commit is very steady. Handles it. shoots it, defends multiple positions and consistently makes plays for his teammates. He has a very professional attitude. </p>
<p>3. [player_tooltip player_id="933469" first="Devontes" last="Cobbs"] <strong>Eduprize </strong></p>
<p>A highlight reel guard had a steady season on the Grind Session last year. He flies on the break with speed and grace in the air. He has become a better passer and shooter in the last two years or so. </p>
<p>4. [player_tooltip player_id="933538" first="Jake" last="Lifgren"] <strong>Centennial </strong></p>
<p>One of the top returning scorers in the AIA. He carried his 5A team to the Chip last year and look for him to pull-up 10 times per game en route to many wins. In a loaded 5A Region, he may be the toughest cover and a POY candidate. </p>
<p>5. [player_tooltip player_id="826999" first="Andrew" last="King"] <strong>Desert Vista </strong></p>
<p>Another top scorer in the AIA for 6A. The Thunder has a chance to get to a Final-4 this season behind the play of King. His shooting is his game but his ability to do other things like defend, rebound and make plays has helped his overall game. </p>
<p>6. [player_tooltip player_id="701244" first="Nate" last="Pickens"] <strong>Dream City Christian </strong></p>
<p>A natural scorer has also started making plays for others and handling more lead guard duties. He has a nice pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and makes catch-3's.</p>
<p>7. [player_tooltip player_id="1008807" first="Caleb" last="Shaw"] <strong>Valley Christian </strong></p>
<p>A combo-guard who shoots the ball well from deep. He has a good feel for the game and will make plays for others. He will be heading to Valley Christian and should be a stud in 3A. He could be a POY candidate. </p>
<p>8. [player_tooltip player_id="994506" first="Rickey" last="Bradley"] <strong>Phhoenix Prep</strong></p>
<p>A tough and fearless combo-guard makes plays for others and scores it getting to the cup a variety of ways. He can pull-up off the dribble and will defend the 1-3. </p>
<p>9. [player_tooltip player_id="1239575" first="Nate" last="Brown"] <strong>Phhoenix Prep</strong></p>
<p>A post grad guard with incredible strength and real skill. He can shoot it with range and uses his body to power down the lane. He can split defenders and find teammates. </p>
<p>10. [player_tooltip player_id="1030345" first="Chase" last="Mayo Harmon"] <strong>Phhoenix Prep</strong></p>
<p>A scoring combo guard has good bounce, a clean stroke and is a smart floor general. He can go on streaks from deep, has a good handle in traffic and will finish near the rim. </p>
