With 221 players, there are bound to be players that saw their rankings drop, but also players that saw their stock rise.

The old saying, "It is not where you start, but it is where you finish", definitely applies to many of these players.

Here are 12 stock risers after the off-season of AAU and the HS live periods: (Some of the players have dramatic rises due to COVID or others simply got better).

[player_tooltip player_id="973912" first="Tanti" last="Felli"] Phoenix Country Day +127 (Pictured)

-The poster child for the Stock Risers is Felli. He has not been seen in over a year but he also improved greatly and grew. He is super long with good size now to defend inside but moves well to play out on the perimeter. He scores it from the 3pt line and can throw it down and score it inside. He should avg some gaudy numbers at O'Connor this year with points, rebounds and blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id="827047" first="Dillan" last="Baker"] Salpointe Catholic +81

-Another player that wasn't seen in awhile. He grew an inch or so but has really polished up his skills. He handles it better but his shooting is one of the most consistent for his position. He should be a stud in Tucson this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="973563" first="Jason" last="Ernest"] Paradise Honors +30

-One of the youngest players in the AIA is just finding his groove. He has a mans body and uses it to bang inside. He is a capable perimeter shooter but does most of his work deep in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="827024" first="Quin" last="Thorne"] CDS +27

-He grew maybe an inch but he is another that is polishing up his craft. He can now create his own offense to go along with his already high IQ and feel for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="827032" first="Tyreek" last="Dean"] AZ Compass Prep +26

-A top notch run and jump athlete seemingly overnight. He is a power wing forward that loves getting downhill and watch your head since he will attempt to flush it down. He handles it well and comes with a motor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1035517" first="Noah" last="Tapia"] Hamilton +23

-Another who is growing his height and game. He seems more confident and should breakout for the Huskies. This is very often at Hamilton, as they are always deep with talent and have to wait there turn to play the critical mins for Coach Harris.

[player_tooltip player_id="936768" first="Tanner" last="Pate"] Mountain Pointe +23

-A sharp shooter by trade is also stretching out and is now more then capable of getting his own shots. He handles the ball well in traffic now and can pull-up off the dribble. He will still be the catch-3 gunner but he has clearly improved his game.

[player_tooltip player_id="827018" first="Jayson" last="Hunt"] Paradise Honors +20

-Another PHHS forward has made that next move. He is pushing the top-50 and you saw him as a gangly freshman looking promising, and you are now seeing it on the court with production. The lefty mid-range is polishing up and his athleticism is going to another gear with a measured 38 inch vert. He rebounds, rim runs and defends.

[player_tooltip player_id="827037" first="Michael" last="Saba"] Chaparral +18

-A long post player grew an inch and can comfortably score it from inside and out. He hits 3's and uses multiple counter moves to score it inside. He moves better from end to end and should have a big senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="827036" first="Braden" last="Wales"] SCA +18

-A bigger post player is one of the better natural shot blockers. He plays a physical brand of ball and is showing some touch from the outside and in.

[player_tooltip player_id="1008807" first="Caleb" last="Shaw"] Valley Christian +17

-This was going to happen eventually the second he got healthier. He may not be 100% all back but he is very close. He earned 4 offers over the live periods and filled it up. He shots lights in many games and plays a cerebral floor game.

[player_tooltip player_id="973813" first="Jayson" last="Petty"] Phhoenix Prep +15

-A two-way wing is a dog on the ball defensively. His pull-up from mid-range is pure and he moves his feet laterally just about as well as anyone in state. His motor is always high and plays hard throughout games.
