<p><i>The WJG Classic took place on Thursday evening with players from the area coming in to Goldsboro HS to compete. With over 15 college coaches watching, the prospects showcased their ability and competed in multiple games to impress the colleges in attendance</i>.</p>
<p>Cleveland HS 2022 Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1253927" first="Baron" last="Williams"]</b>: The top performing Point Guard in the event, Williams got going early and stayed consistent throughout. He found a high level of success in pick and roll situations, making the correct reads and converting at very high rate.</p>
<p>Panther Creek 2023 Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1253928" first="Trey" last="Boyd"]</b>: He took home the WJG Classic MVP award for the boys side, showcasing some outstanding shooting ability, especially in their 2nd game of the night. He has good range on his shot, knocking down three point shots from college three point range consistently.</p>
<p>Lake Norman Christian 2022 Forward <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1063201" first="Tyrone" last="Barbee"]</b>: College coaches at the D2 & D3 levels should be keeping a close eye on him as he has shown plenty of talent and upside. His height & wingspan are all things that help him to be successful on the court. He attacked defenders consistently ,getting to the basket to make plays above the rim and scoring from midrange.</p>
<p>Eastern Wayne HS 2022 Wing <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1032852" first="Albert" last="Brown"] Jr</b>: Had an outstanding showing, scoring the ball and showed some flashes of what he can potentially be. He’s about 6’3 with a long wingspan and a smooth shooting stroke that we saw time and time again throughout the event which led to a high amount of made treys.</p>
<p>Wayne Prep 2023 Wing <b>[player_tooltip player_id="949375" first="Ta’Korrie" last="Faison"]</b>: A strong, athletic player that made his mark early on, he is one of those players that doesn’t shy away from contact which allows him to make plays in the paint at a high rate but he has plenty of perimeter skills. On the defensive side of the ball he can be as good as he wants to be , he has a nice blend of lateral quickness, strength and agility that can help him defend multiple positions. </p>
<p>Cleveland HS 2022 Forward <b>[player_tooltip player_id="577886" first="Dylan" last="Wiggins"]</b>: A very skilled prospect that found his rhythm in the first game of the day and made his mark with his scoring and rebounding. He’s 6’5 with the ability to score inside and out as well as being a solid playmaker.</p>
