On July 4th I attended the Get Em Up Who Got Game Invitational at Cortez HS in Phx/AZ.

I watched the Team Harden younger players of 15 and 16U, the Super Sayins 16U and Dream Become Reality 17U.

Here were some of the players that shined:

[player_tooltip player_id="1077530" first="Charles" last="Temple"] (DBR 17)

-A ridiculously powerful and athletic wing seems to fly on the break. He is like a linebacker getting downhill and will seemingly bounce off of defenders and score through contact. He is a capable perimeter shooter and is tough on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id="1237855" first="Petia" last="Dogale"] (DBR 17)

-Another powerful player is more of a power forward. He has Sudanese descent background and plays with force, He moves well from end to end and had some impressive lob dunks. He rebounds anything near him and looks like a college player out there with his physique.

[player_tooltip player_id="809729" first="Demetrus" last="Johnson II"] (DBR 17)

-A slick pure PG has a tight handle. He can thread the needle to find teammates and uses a burst to get into the lane and score it. He can hit the 3 plus has a middle game.

[player_tooltip player_id="994004" first="Mathiang" last="Maker"] (Team Harden 16)

-A super athletic forward can play inside and out. He springs up effortlessly to dunk the ball in traffic. He can take off from further out then most like this clip off of IG. He can shoot it from the perimeter and is a fluid end to end forward. https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ9yIZ3tNww/

[player_tooltip player_id="1172137" first="Adam" last="Njie Jr"] (Team Harden 15) (Pictured)

-One of the top rising sophs in the state. There are not many better scorers in the class. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3 and make the catch-3. He is strong, plays with pace and finds his open spots on the court to score. He is probably a better passer then he gets credited with since he scores it so easy. He is a physical on-ball defender using his quicks and upper body strength and he is a clear Top-10 2024 locally.

[player_tooltip player_id="1231502" first="Bryce" last="Anderson"] (Super Sayins 16)

-One of the pleasant surprises at the event. He is a long wing with decent size and high skill level. He was one of the better shooters at the event and has some bounce. He can get up the court in transition and flush it down. His catch-3 is his game, but has upside for other aspects moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="1231510" first="Marcus" last="McDonald"] (Team Harden 15)

-A long combo scoring guard has a lot of game. He is a 3-level scorer with the ball on a string. He is tough on the ball defensively plus scores it easily. He can hit the catch-3, has a polished floater for his young age and is a sneaky good passer. His length, scoring and potential growth makes him a possible Top-10 incoming freshman.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150822" first="Cameron" last="Holmes"] (Team Harden 16)

-The long younger incoming freshman had a monster game in 16U. He hit maybe 5-6 3’s and all were with some range. He is crafty with his floater game. He moves fluidly up the court, defends multiple positions and plays a cerebral brand of ball. He is a good teammate and has some fire in his belly to compete.

[player_tooltip player_id="992830" first="Maper" last="Maker"] (Team Harden 16)

-A LONG post player has some tools to utilize. He is a top-tier post defender as he blocks shots out of area with his long limbs and gobbles up balls near him. He makes 3’s with a decent looking stroke and can score it a little inside. He will be better the older he gets to handle the pounding once he fills in.

[player_tooltip player_id="1231509" first="Isaiah" last="Spencer"] (Team Harden 15)

-A long lefty incoming freshman is talented. He is a very active on-ball defender and comes with a nice handle and speed. He can make plays for others and get downhill using long strides. A nice two-way guard to track the next 4 years.

[player_tooltip player_id="1237854" first="Jaion" last="Pitt"] (Team Harden 16)

-A power forward who seeks contact in the paint. He is super long and strong and will fight for rebounds in the paint using his length. He can get downhill and has a nice touch from elbow and in.
