Point Guards

[player_tooltip player_id="1076399" first="Will" last="Gavin"], 6’1, St Thomas Aquinas, SSA Elite 2022 Black: Gavin will be making his grassroots debut at the Platform this weekend coming off of an injury that ended his high school season way too early after averaging over 10 points and 3 assists per game. Makes the right play at a high clip and can be a great distributor and solid scorer of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="891910" first="Trevor" last="McBride"], 6’2, Basehor Linwood, SSA Elite 2022 Black: High energy and talented point guard that had a solid spring and June run. Was a stat sheet stuffer throughout the spring and if he can keep that up in July adding in scoring, assists making, and rebounds, both his team and himself will be set up for success.

[player_tooltip player_id="991576" first="I’Ryan" last="Allen"], 6’2, Ruskin, KC Spurs Black (Pictured): A tough nosed, play making point guard who makes others better while making life difficult on opposing point guards. He is a solid shooter off the bounce, dominates in transition, and brings a ton of athleticism to the lead guard spot.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180840" first="Quinn" last="Scott"], 6’2, Jackson, Gateway Knights: A longer point guard with really good vision and is a gifted playmaker for others off the bounce. Plays on the perimeter without the ball at a high clip as well, moving off the ball, making appropriate cuts, and spaces the floor. A smooth shooter of the ball from deep and can score in the paint and in the mid range game as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="889458" first="Javon" last="Grant"], 5’10, Pittsburgh, MPJ Elite (Unsigned Senior): Elite scoring point guard who can also sit down and defend on the ball. Has the ability to find teammates and put guys in great spots on the floor, which he has been able to showcase with MPJ Elite. 30 point per game scorer during the last high school season in which he dominated at the 5A level.

Trey Weith, 6'1, Park Hill South, KC Spurs Silver: The lefty is a really solid all around point guard with a smooth game with the ball in his hands and has a solid point guard presence on the floor. Great floor general to watch this weekend who fills up the stat sheet from the lead guard spot. Tough competitor who is hard nosed on the defensive end as well.
