Ben Dickerman, ASA, Newton North, Class 2023, position G, HT 5’11
Ben Dickerman is a sharp shooting guard, who has really been a stock riser this spring AAU season. Ben is a guard who shoots the ball well at a high volume. Ben can shoot spotting up, or off the dribble. Ben has good handles, and does a good job finishing with both hands. This past weekend in Albany at the Gym Rat tournament, Ben had a strong performance. I like that Ben is showing his aggressiveness on offense. In one game Ben helped lead his team to a fierce comeback and almost the win from down 15 points. Ben did this by having 18 points in the second half. Ben shot well, and did a great driving and finishing through contact with both hands. One play Ben had a and one drive to the basket with an off hand finish. Ben showed his nice touch with his soft floater through the lane to help him get his shot over the taller defender. Ben helped lead fast breaks, including one play with an on point three quarter court pass off a rebound to a teammate for a layup. Ben has been showing his ability to impact games, and play at high levels. I expect Ben to continue to improve.
Michale Loughane, HT 6’4, Class 2022, Position G,
Michale is a guard who can do many things to impact a game. Michale is a guard who is very athletic, and can play above the rim. Michale can score in many ways. Michale is a real playmaker and can create his own shot. Michael is a high level player in his class. One tournament this year Michale averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Michale plays hard and with energy the full length of the court. You can see Michale make the fancy finish, and he also will make the smart fundamental play as well.
Connor Olcott, Mass Elite, Saint Johns, Position PG, HT 5’11, Class 2022
Connor is a very skilled guard, who does a great job finishing high at the rim, and getting his shots over bigger defenders. Connor does a great job changing speeds, and creating separation from defenders. Connor just out works everyone he plays against. Connor might not be the biggest player on the court, but will always be one of the most skilled, crafty, and quickest players on the court. Connor is a leader on and off the court for his team. Connor Is constantly working on his game, and will get even better. Connor has the game to play at the college level.
Griffin Wiley, Newton SOUTH, Position G, class 2023 HT 5’10
Griffin has been working his way through the newton South basketball program. First with a strong season on the freshman team, and this past winter with a strong season on JV. Griffin is a guard, who can get to the basket well, and beat defenders by cutting, and off the dribble. Griffin is a scorer, who is a strong finisher at the rim. Griffin can finish with both hands, and finishes well through contact. Griffin is a good defender, and hard to get by. Griffin moves well on defense, and has a good defensive stance. Griffin is an energy spark every time he gets on the court. Griffin is always the first one to dive after balls on the ground, and goes 100 percent the whole game, and just always brings his teams energy up with his hustle and intensity. Griffin will keep making an impact in the Newton south Lions program the next 2 years.
