Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the players on Team 15 from the recent Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Small College Showcase in Columbia.

[player_tooltip player_id="985419" first="Nate" last="Straughter"] 6’3" Chaminade: The 2022 guard was one of the most impressive players at the showcase. He is an explosive athlete with a sweet shooting stroke from 3-point range that brings rain with its high-arch. He is also a scoring threat from all three levels with his quick first step and ability to elevate in the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180607" first="Jaisten" last="Payne"] 5’10" Moberly: A very talented 2022 point guard with good quickness and the ability to score at all three levels. He was very impressive with his ability to penetrate and stop on the dime for the pull up jumper, plus he can knock down the3-pointer if the defense backs up too much. He's an excellent scoring point guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="1053673" first="EJ" last="Williams"] 6’1" Westminster: A 2021 all-purpose guard who does all of the little things to help his team succeed. He's an outstanding defensive player who will pressure the ball and get into the passing lanes. He's a terrific slasher who can get into the lane, plus he's an excellent rebounder from the guard position.

[player_tooltip player_id="993522" first="Adam" last="Sausele"] 6’3" Vianney: The 2022 shooting guard is an impressive all-around player who was very productive. He knocked down 3-pointers and moved well without the basketball to make himself available. He passes well and can make a play off the dribble. He is also a solid rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id="992311" first="Tanner" last="Lanes"] 6’4" Harrisburg: A versatile 2022 lefty displayed his nice 3-point shooting stroke in the game that I watched. His pull up jumper from the middle area was also working for him. He also has good playmaking skills with his ball handling and passing ability. He was able to fit his game in well with others.

Whit Hafer 6’6" Joplin: A 2024 forward who is getting back into the swing after missing the entire winter season with a knee injury. He has a big body and he's starting to get much of his bounce back as he can throw down some impressive dunks in traffic. This youngster has plenty of upside and it's great to see him back on the court and rounding into form.

Matthew Weber 6’0" North Callaway: The 2024 guard displayed a nice shooting stroke in the game that I watched him. He didn't try to force the issue to much, but when he got a look, he was ready to shoot and he knocked down his 3-pointers.
