Zach Howell Zach Howell 6'4" | SG Springfield Catholic | 2022 State MO 6’5 Yanders Law: The 2022 shooting guard from Springfield Catholic is a bucket who can get it done at all three levels. His shooting range is pretty unlimited and he has a quick release to go along with it so it’s tough to get a good close out on him. When that happens, he can get to the basket with a tough take to get a bucket or an And 1. He flows through the offense seamlessly with his movement to get himself open looks.
Messias Dockery Messias Dockery 5'11" | PG Park Hill South | 2022 State MO 5’10 816 Hoops-Shamet: A speedy point guard from Park Hill South displayed his ability to impact a game with his quickness at both ends of the floor. In one game I watched, he took over a segment of a close game in the second half with a series of buckets on penetrating drives, transition layups and runners. He also caused a couple of turnovers with his ball hawking and on-ball defense. That’s what he does best.
Miller Long 6’3 Rain Makers: A small-school shooting guard from College Heights Christian who has made quite an impression on me since seeing him play for the first time in late June at the MBCA Small College Showcase. He is good for at least 20 points every game, but he has a good understanding of how to score. His 3-point shooting range is deep, but he also moves well and knows how to set up defenders with cuts and setting screens to get himself open for scoring opportunities.
Mikhail Abdur-Rahim 6’5 SW IL Jets: A talented wing player from CBC who can really dial it up from long distance. He was knocking down shots from well beyond the 3-point line with confidence. The shooting stroke is nice and smooth. His fundamentals are very good as he doesn’t try to force things. He also dropped some very nice dimes in the transition game.
Matt Enright Matt Enright 5'10" | PG Webster Groves | 2022 State MO 6’0 MPJ Elite: The combo guard from Webster Groves has been a very big addition to the team and it has shown in the past two weeks in July. Matty Ice is a plus shooter from downtown and that lefty stroke was working in the game that I watched. His floor game is also very solid as he can get into the lane and make a play for a teammate while also giving a strong effort on the defensive end. He recently picked up a Division II offer from Quincy University.
