Las Vegas Basketball Royalty: R&J Athletes

<p>The Las Vegas Basketball Royalty took place on July 9th – 11th. The event hosted by legendary operator Gary Charles featured several Shoe Circuit clubs looking to prep for this week’s Peach Jam.  All games were live-streamed courtesy of the 7outz Network <a href="https://seasoncast.com/prephoops2/recordings">Channel 2</a> and <a href="https://seasoncast.com/prephoops3/recordings">Channel 3</a>. The event featured several high flyers. In this article, we take a look at the top Run and Jump athletes from the event. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1236157" first="James" last="Freemen"] <em>6’5 PF Vegas Elite 2022</em> - Freemen is a firecracker jumper because he is more explosive than a regular Pogo Stick. He gets off the ground with his first jump, but also has the uncanny ability to jump laterally. The high flying forward, grabbed several out-of-area rebounds and used an impressive vertical leap to finish plays around the rim. </p> <p><strong>AJ Storr</strong> <em>6’6 SF Vegas Elite 2022</em> <em>(featured image)</em> - Stoor is a classic 1 leg jumper. He must have had 5 to 10 fastbreak 1 leg two-hand dunks this weekend. He gets off the ground effortlessly and seems to fly through the air. Several times Stoor took off from deep in the lane, finishing plays with easy dunks. </p> <p><strong>Josiah Davis</strong> <em>6’0 PG UPlay 2022</em> - If you’re going to play against Davis you better strap up. Davis is a ball of energy and explosion and his athletic ability transcends just dunking. It was not uncommon to see Davis flying through the lane to snag in traffic rebounds from the hands of taller defenders. The West Virginia Commit is perhaps the most Bob Huggins player ever, with his athleticism and tendency for hard-nosed defense. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="827032" first="Tyreek" last="Dean"] <em>6’5 PF Team RHJ 2023</em> - Dean doesn’t look like the prototypical R&amp;J athlete, but he can get off the floor with the best of them. He had several thunderous dunks over unsuspecting players. Including a vicious hook dunk, that he threw down so hard, he may have injured his hand. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="986959" first="Ryder" last="Elisaldez"] <em>6’1 CG Vegas Elite 2024</em> - Elisaldez showed why he is one of the top R&amp;J athletes in his class. He showed speed with his first step and transition ability. He also showed that he can fly, catching several lobs from teammates.
