Big Shots Nationals: New Faces, Part III

<h5>Big Shots Nationals brought out a ton of new talent to track in the state of North Carolina. Here’s a look at Part III of the New Faces from Big Shots Nationals.</h5> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1278081" first="CJ" last="Harrist"] | 5’11 Guard | Team Hope Harrist | 2022</h5> <p>Harrist is a combo guard in NC’s 2022 class that’s turning heads with Team Hope Harrist. He produced 10.3 ppg including 14 points in the 17U Championship Game. He showed off his ability to make plays for himself and others while knocking down shots and operating off the dribble. He’s an emerging name to get to know at Metrolina Christian Academy.</p> <h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1277989" first="Matt" last="Kirby"] | 5’9 Guard | Team DBGH | 2023</h5> <p>Kirby was impressive all weekend long in the Team DBGH backcourt as their lead guard. He showed off his ability to defend with presence and be a fearless downhill threat while putting up 13.8 ppg on the weekend. He opened the event with 25 points againsy Greensboro Warriors Dorsey in tough first win and didn’t look back as his squad went 2-2 at Big Shots Nationals. He’s a tough, gritty guard to get to know in NC’s 2023 class at Greenfield School.</p> <h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1277988" first="Micah" last="Sherrod"] | 6’2 Shooting Guard | Team DBGH | 2023</h5> <p>Sherrod was another prospect in the Team DBGH backcourt with a ton of promise. He showed off his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and off the bounce while producing 10.0 ppg as an off-the-ball threat. He knocked down a number of shots on the perimeter at key moments for his squad to boost the offensive attack. As his confidence grows, look for his recruitment to do the same over at Greenfield School.</p> <h5>Caleb Willingham | 6’4 Forward/Center | Team DBGH | 2023</h5> <p>Willingham is a big man prospect with nice size at 6-foot-4 for Team DBGH. When given opportunities, he showed off his ability to operate in the paint and finish around the rim. As he finds his confidence in the paint and on the glass, look for his stock to grow in the 2023 class at Fike High School.</p> <h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1278078" first="Noah" last="Goldston"] | 6’2 Guard/Wing | Greensboro Warriors Dorsey | 2023</h5> <p>Goldston was one of the leaders on the offensive attack for Greensboro Warriors Dorsey. He put up 10.8 ppg including 17 points to close out Big Shots Nationals while showing off his ability to operate off the bounce and use his length to finish in the paint and on the perimeter. He’s a face to track over at Southwest Guilford this upcoming season.</p> <h5>Philip Layne | 6’2 Forward | Greensboro Warriors Dorsey | 2023</h5> <p>Layne showed a ton of promise with his length as a shot-blocker and rim runner. He showed promise tracking chase down block opportunities and tough rebounds on the interior. As his offensive game develops, he should be fun to watch given his length and athleticism. He’ll be one to keep eyes on over at Community Baptist School.</p>
