In recent years, many players have gone on to make an immediate impact at the next level while others have needed extra time or a transfer or two in order to find the best landing spots for their careers. Continue reading for a look at a few of the college commitments from the class of 2021 in the great state of Idaho.
Isaac Deedon, University of Northwestern – St. Paul: Deedon wrapped up his senior season for the Eagle Mustangs by signing to play at the next level in warm and sunny, Minnesota. Luckily, basketball is an indoor sport and the thermostat is easily controllable. Isaac can score from anywhere on the court and he is a high IQ point guard. His knowledge and feel for the game are two characteristics that cannot be taught and they will both give him an advantage at the next level. Isaac showed an incredible ability to lead from the point guard position and he will find himself with the ball in his hands during crunch time at the next level.
Cooper Lumsden Cooper Lumsden 6'3" | SG Timberline | 2021 State ID , Eastern Oregon University: Cooper will be headed to the CCC for the next four years of his college basketball journey after a stellar career for the Timberline Timberwolves. Cooper is a matchup nightmare and can play nearly any position on the floor when needed. He can sore well at all levels and has a patented mid-range that he can easily use to score over smaller defenders. Cooper will look to use this summer to build strength and prepare for the long grind of the college basketball season. Eastern Oregon plays in a really tough conference and Lumsden will be pushed to his limits next season on both ends of the floor, but I believe that he will catch on quickly and have a great career while continuing to improve his all-around game.
