The Chsaa spring tournament showed some tremendous athletic ability to get to the rim. But they also showed off their mid-range and pull-up jumpers. Here are players who can score the ball in a variety of ways. These guys can also consistently drill it behind the line.

[player_tooltip player_id="945523" first="Shawn" last="Fulcher"] 6”1. 2021. Xaverian. (pictured)

Shawn is a scholarship player at the next level. Changes speeds and direction effortlessly to get into the lane and score. His exceptional ball-handling ability enables him to get himself open off the bounce and score from all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045684" first="Christian" last="Bliss"] 6”3. 2022. Molloy

Very smooth, heady player. Excellent shooter from beyond the arc. Deadly mid-range game. Excellent handle gets him into open spots and drains the pull-up jumper. Crafty going to the rim, converts with reverse layups or other creative ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048081" first="Malik" last="Cole"] 6”3. 2021. St Edmunds

Strong-bodied wing player. Hard to guard his drive in a half-court situation or the open floor. Excellent lift on his mid-range jumper. Not afraid to get on the floor for a loose ball. Did this in many of the games I’ve watched him play.

Todd Rochelle 6”2. 2021. St Francis Prep

A D1 talent. I’ve seen him a lot and come away each time more impressed with his game. Flat out scorer. Unlimited range. Extremely quick to the rim. Stop on a dime pull up. A leader on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="945538" first="Ryan" last="Mcpartlan"] 6”4. 2021. Fordham Prep

Sneaky quick first step. Scores with floaters in the lane. Uses his size well inside to score off the bounce. Knows how to use the rim to get off his shot on the drive. Will be playing for Union College next season. That is a great get for them and the staff will be very happy with all the intangibles Ryan brings besides his scoring ability.

Johnuel Fland. 6”2. 2024. Stepinacd

One of the best young players from the class of 2024. Crafty beyond his years. Very confident player. Extremely talented. Scores many ways from all different spots on the floor. Stepinac alumni [player_tooltip player_id="766060" first="RJ" last="Davis"] is at North Carolina, Adrian Griffin will be at Duke, Johnuel might be the next ACC player when he graduates.

[player_tooltip player_id="1195555" first="Ian" last="Jackson"] 6”5. 2024. Cardinal Hayes

Extremely gifted. Ian has many high major D1 offers already. Flat out scorer. Explosive to the rim. Outstanding in transition. Look forward to watching his battles with Johnuel in the coming seasons.

Ahmir Moore 6”1. 2023. St Rays

Take notice if you weren’t familiar with Ahmir. He showed he can score off the bounce. Excellent body. A slasher who scores the ball. A player to watch.
