<p>Thirteen new players were added to the 2023 rankings. Check out the guards added to the list:</p>
<p>58 [player_tooltip player_id="1212165" first="Alec" last="Carlson"], 6-foot-1 combo guard, Pawnee Heights:</p>
<p>One of the top sophomore scorers in the state, Carlson torched opponents for 23.3 points per contest. The physical Carlson also raked in 8.5 rebounds, and was really good when it came playoff time. He earned first-team 1A Div. 2.</p>
<p>59 [player_tooltip player_id="1212166" first="Jett" last="Vincent"], 6-foot combo guard, Wheatland-Grinnell:</p>
<p>Vincent is an athlete making a name for himself. He’s a physical guard who makes plays in a host of ways. His athleticism and effort produced 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals. With the ball in his hands, Vincent makes a lot happen, turning in 13.4 points while also dishing out 1.4 assists. Vincent was named second-team 1A Div. 2.</p>
<p>60 [player_tooltip player_id="1212167" first="Jordy" last="Dolloff"], 5-foot-10 point guard, Wichita Classical:</p>
<p>A quick and slick point guard, Dolloff made a lot of things happen last season for Wichita Classical. He ranks as one of the top point guards in the small school ranks, earning third-team 1A Div. 1. The intelligent leader scored 12.8 points, grabbed 3.7 boards, dished out 2.5 assists, and also recorded 2.4 steals last season.</p>
<p>63 [player_tooltip player_id="1212170" first="Mario" last="Menghini"], 6-foot-2 shooting guard, Frontenac:</p>
<p>An honorable mention 3A performer, the rugged multi-sport athlete excels on a number of playing fields. He can really run, and has a powerful physique, which he uses to score in the lane and on the move. He’s been a contributor since his freshman season.</p>
<p>66 [player_tooltip player_id="1212172" first="Malaki" last="Taylor"], 5-foot-10, point guard, Gardner-Edgerton:</p>
<p>Taylor was a nice contributor for Gardner-Edgerton as a sophomore, and now he’s showing his leadership and versatile skills for the KC Spurs. Taylor can knock down shots from deep, as well as score on the move in transition or on drives. But his passing and direction of an offense is standing out this summer.</p>
