<p>Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top Class of 2022 and 2023 players at the Monroe City Shootout.</p> <p>2022</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/DD1A9D6F-F5CA-4FE7-B47E-D679493790DE.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212575" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/DD1A9D6F-F5CA-4FE7-B47E-D679493790DE-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="984957" first="Isaiah" last="Reams"] 5’11 Mexico: The standout point guard has been doing it at a high level since his freshman year. The lefty is quick and strong and can get to any spot on the floor that he desires. He got into the lane for buckets, drilled perimeter jumpers and set up teammates with his passing. One of the best in Mid Mo.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/81DF616F-363D-4625-97FE-545DC422E65B.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212578" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/81DF616F-363D-4625-97FE-545DC422E65B-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="993528" first="Joshua" last="Talton"] 6’0 Monroe City: A strong and competitive guard who excels in all facets of the game. He’s equally effective at scoring in the paint with his strength or knocking down jumpers and scoring off the bounce. He is a tough rebounder, solid passer and he sits down and defends people.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/5C2598DF-F30B-4889-98E7-CDE78E1446EB.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212579" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/5C2598DF-F30B-4889-98E7-CDE78E1446EB-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="992311" first="Tanner" last="Lanes"] 6’4 Harrisburg: A solid lefty wing player with good size and versatility. He’s a primary ball handler who can facilitate offense and get buckets. He has extended range from 3-point distance plus he can score on twisting drives to the basket.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/E0A59471-377B-4887-A74C-DB693B573AAD.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212580" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/E0A59471-377B-4887-A74C-DB693B573AAD-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><br /> Mason Washington 6’3 Louisiana: It was my first time seeing him in person and I was impressed with his ability to slash to the basket and maneuver his way around the lane in traffic to finish. The lefty also has a nice pull up jumper on the move.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/5CCB3BDB-4DB8-4743-8B5A-3E0EE3410483.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212584" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/5CCB3BDB-4DB8-4743-8B5A-3E0EE3410483-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p>Michael White 6’1 Mexico: An all purpose guard who did a lot of things well to help his team succeed. He’s a very effective slasher on the offensive end. He rebounds quite well for his size at both ends and operates well in the transition game.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> <a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/85ABBD02-1176-4ECE-A0AC-0F38ABE5AEA5.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212585" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/85ABBD02-1176-4ECE-A0AC-0F38ABE5AEA5-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><br /> [player_tooltip player_id="993529" first="Josiah" last="Talton"] 6’0 Monroe City: The twin brother of [player_tooltip player_id="993528" first="Joshua" last="Talton"] is a quality southpaw point guard who knows how to set the table for his teammates. He delivered some nice dimes from different angles and he could score when needed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>2023</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/A6622278-27D8-4B72-959C-2B3171B7BD4B.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212590" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/A6622278-27D8-4B72-959C-2B3171B7BD4B-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p>Brayden Ott 5’10 Harrisburg: The small combo guard displayed the ability to score at all three levels. He has excellent from from 3-point distance and he has some tight handles to create space and get his own shot.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/ACCF8FE6-D520-4F89-AAC9-88D86F633C24.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212591" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/ACCF8FE6-D520-4F89-AAC9-88D86F633C24-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p>Jordan Shelton 5’10 Mexico: An explosive young guard who was really making things happen with his energy and athleticism. In the game I watched, he blocked three shots and threw down a monster dunk. At 5’10. The pace of play picked up considerably when he entered the game.</p>
