Memorial Day has always been a huge basketball weekend. After the events of last year, the pent-up demand for basketball in Sin City was real. Several organizations hosted events around the city, including West Coast Elite’s Vegas Memorial Day Classic, and Cal Elite Basketball’s West Coast Smoke. With the new rankings only a few months away, many players used these events as one last evaluation opportunity. Recently legendary scout Van Coleman educated me on the importance of the 6-minute evaluation, allowing scouts to quickly analyze players, athletic ability, skill, and fundamentals. In this article, we provide our 6-minute evals of local players from this weekend.
