With the LIVE period on the horizon, many Division I programs are extending offers, hosting visitors, and broadly expressing an elevated level of interest in their preferred targets.

Chattanooga is consistently communicating with [player_tooltip player_id="1006435" first="Evan" last="Eursher"], the star EAB lead guard. Eursher also maintains interest from Arkansas State, UT Martin, and Campbell. UT Martin is working to rebuild their program with a brand new staff. New head coach Ryan Ridder took over the last day of March. Remember the Skyhawks signed [player_tooltip player_id="537247" first="Grant" last="Hurst"] late in the 2021 cycle.

Webb boasts a brand new coach in Micah Williams. He joined the program from Coffee County High.

Coach Williams played high school basketball at Coffee County, where he holds the title of the all-time leading scorer in school history. After high school, he attended East Tennessee State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in marketing. While he was at ETSU, he joined the 1,000-point club, was part of two conference championship teams, and was named to the A-Sun All Conference Team and Conference Tournament MVP. He went on to play professional basketball in Japan and England.

Stephen Olowoniyi shares a handful of the same interested schools: Chattanooga, Arkansas State, UT Martin. He is on the radar of the Arkansas-Little Rock program too

Road Trip

This weekend Jakobi is traveling up to Chicago for an exciting unofficial visit. Jakobi is hoping to leave the City of Big Shoulders with a D1 offer. Radford offered Jakobi last week. Jacksonville and UNC-Asheville offered days later.

SEC Love

[player_tooltip player_id="1122508" first="Ace" last="Bailey"] (Boyd-Buchanan) earned a very early offer from Ole Miss. Both Murray State and Jacksonville offered him within the last week, to formally open his D1 recruiting catalogue. On the Jacksonville University topic...JU proved hyper aggressive in Tennessee heading into and coming out of BCAT Team Camp.

Recently offered JU players include: [player_tooltip player_id="1140764" first="Jaye" last="Nash"], Terrence Jacobs, [player_tooltip player_id="1011978" first="JaSteven" last="Walker"], [player_tooltip player_id="1140778" first="Cooper" last="Haynes"], [player_tooltip player_id="1019407" first="Daniel" last="Egbuniwe"], [player_tooltip player_id="1039192" first="Jarred" last="Hall"], [player_tooltip player_id="1140778" first="Cooper" last="Haynes"], [player_tooltip player_id="1025276" first="Jakobi" last="Gillespie"].

[player_tooltip player_id="1012093" first="Malik" last="Dia"] continued his emergence. After already holding offers from St. John’s, Loyola, Nebraska, TCU, and Creighton, now Dia is hearing from Ole Miss. The Rebels under Coach Kermit Davis really pushed in Memphis and in the last year expanded harder into middle Tennessee. [player_tooltip player_id="537260" first="Grant" last="Slatten"] signed as part of the 2021 class and [player_tooltip player_id="1012093" first="Malik" last="Dia"] is perhaps the next Tennessee talent for them.

[player_tooltip player_id="1148114" first="Connor" last="Tuerff"] was extended an offer from Maine Maritime. Tuerff plays for Pope John Paul II in Hendersonville. Curiously the first time Maine Maritime made a splash in Tennessee occurred with a Hendersonville-area player, [player_tooltip player_id="954816" first="Cameron" last="Gerlach"]. Gerlach chose Maine Maritime after thriving for Station Camp.

Rhodes College offered Class of 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1162497" first="Zion" last="Owens"] (Christian Brothers).

Danny Perry (Collierville) signed to Central Baptist College.
