KAMO Shootout: Pools A/B Preview

<p>The KAMO shootout once again will be one of the big events of the June high school summer session. With plenty of the top programs from in and around Kansas taking part, let us take a peak at some of the names to check out in the various pools.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Pool A Players</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1131273" first="Kernan" last="Bundy"], 6’3 Guard, Blue Valley North, 2022 : The athletic, aggressive, and talented swing guard will be taking the court with Blue Valley North squad where he was a huge contributor to their state title run. Can shoot it from anywhere on the floor, one of the best on ball defenders in the Kansas City area, and can make big time plays in the open court with his athleticism. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>JD Roane, 6’1 Guard, Blue Valley North, 2022: An expanded role will be coming his way this year and he has the ability to rise to the task. Does a little bit of everything out on the perimeter and can play both guard spots. With expanded run, will be a solid contributor with his open shooting ability, rebounding, and limiting turnovers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Luc DeVore, 6’5 Forward, Blue Valley North, 2022: Rounding off the 2022 group to look out for on Blue Valley North is Devore. Solid frame with the ability to mix it up inside and has some stretch game to him. Will have big shoes to fill in the front court, and his growing game this summer bodes well for him.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1075930" first="Adrian" last="Dimond"], 6’7 Wing, Mill Valley, 2022 (Pictured): The long and athletic wing/4 man is a matchup nightmare for a lot of teams with his length, athleticism, and ability to handle the ball. Is a nice puzzle piece that can be plugged in to a variety of positions and roles on the floor. A very intriguing junior prospect with his versatility and length.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Pool B Players</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Free State back court of [player_tooltip player_id="952433" first="Jordan" last="Brown"], [player_tooltip player_id="891899" first="Mozae" last="Downing-Rivers"], and [player_tooltip player_id="891903" first="Cooper" last="Jackson"] will be in pool B, the trio really dominated last weekend at the 810 event and will be looking to continue growing chemistry amongst each other.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1212173" first="Fernando" last="Gracia"], 6’5 Forward, Olathe North, 2023: A long shot blocker who is continuing to get on radars from his play in the spring. Has some stretch ability as well and his skill set continues to grow. A strong conclusion to the June season headed into the July grassroots scene will be big for Garcia.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1075924" first="Jack" last="Ratigan"], 6’6 Forward, Blue Valley West, 2022: Ratigan once again needs to be made note of, had a solid weekend at the 810 event and his versatility continues to expand with his ball handling and attacking game showing some prominence in recent weeks to go with his big time shooting ability.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
