Prep Hoops Missouri ventured to Jefferson County on Wednesday to take in the action at the Hillsboro Summer League. It was an opportunity to see many of the teams in JeffCo and the Parkland area. Here is a look at some of the top teams in action.

Festus

The Tigers were impressive in a victory over Windsor and very, very impressive in its win over Confluence. They are a balanced team with a slew of perimeter shooters. The leader is 5’11" 2023 point guard Arhmad Branch, a creative floor leader who sets the pace. The shooters are 6’1 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="992309" first="Cole" last="Rickermann"], 5’10 2022 Collin Weinhaus and 5’11" 2022 Connor Westhoff. They also picked a up a strong addition in 6’4" 2022 forward Eric Ruess, a big strong inside player who can also handle the ball.

Confluence

The Titans have the talent to make a nice run in Class 4 next season. It starts with its stellar 2022 backcourt in 6’1" Trasean White and 5’10" Kory Lawrence. Both are playmakers who can take over games when they get things going. One player primed to make a big breakthrough is 6’5" 2022 wing [player_tooltip player_id="991583" first="Kywren" last="Thropes"], who is very athletic with the skill to score at all three levels.

Park Hills Central

The Rebels have a team full of small quick guards who will play at a fast tempo while keeping the pressure defense. They are led by talented 5’11" 2024 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="1160661" first="Jobe" last="Bryant"], who is one of the best in the state. He can score and drop dimes with ease. 6’0" 2023 guard [player_tooltip player_id="1070115" first="Mason" last="Williams"] is an athlete who can play with a high motor at both ends. 2023 guard Kendall Horton and 2024 guard [player_tooltip player_id="1160843" first="Caden" last="Casey"] are two other young players with talent.

Farmington

The Knights should field another solid with a lot of experience back on hand. I was impressed with 6’7" 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="984955" first="Isaiah" last="Robinson"], who has good perimeter skills, length and the ability to rebound and block shots inside. Bracey Blanton and [player_tooltip player_id="1180563" first="Jp" last="Ruble"] are a pair of small 2022 guards who can shoot the ball while playing with a lot of pace. Hunter Cole is a 6’4" 2022 forward who is a solid rebounder.

Oakville

The Tigers won a Class 6 district championship last season and have some pretty good pieces back from that team and they played well on Wednesday night. Grant Hastings is a 6’4" 2022 forward with a nice post game and the ability to step out and hit mid range jumpers. 6’0" 2023 guard Colby Noblitt was knocking down 3-pointers at a torrid pace in the two games while 6’5" 2022 forward Jack Zarr is a solid inside player.
