With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2022 Guards.
A.J. Branigan – 5’10 PG 2022 – Lawrence North (IN)
Stats: Not Reported
Thoughts: Branigan is a smaller, lefty guard who can knock it down from the outside with basically unlimited range. he is never going to hesitate to shoot it from the outside either. He is pretty athletic which allows him to make plays despite his size. Branigan doesn’t get much playing time on this talented Lawrence North ball club, but he has some potential with his great shooting ability. He will be a player to watch as a difference-maker coming off the bench for the Wildcats.

– 6’0 PG 2022 – Chesterton (IN)
Stats: 13.3 Pts, 2.6 Rebs, 2.6 Stls (2019-20 Stats as 2020-21 not reported)
Thoughts: Grayson is a smaller guard with a great three-point shot. He has good ball-handling which allows him to get to his spot and knock it down. On the inside, Grayson can finish through contact or pull up for a nice little teardrop in the lane. He also sees the court very well and looks to get his teammates involved. Travis is an impressive guard who will be playing college basketball. With a good senior season, he could raise his stock to a possible NAIA point guard.
Beck Willems

– 6’3 PG 2022 – Bethany Christian (IN)
Stats: 14.4 Pts, 8.3 Rebs, 3.6 Asts, 2.0 Stls
Thoughts: Willems is a bigger point guard who likes to attack in the lane. He is a physical player who seeks contact and looks to finish through it. He is also a very good shooter who can knock it down if you give him the time and space. He isn’t the most smooth player, but he can finish around the rim and make plays for both he and his teammates. Willems had a breakout season last year, and I would expect another big year from Beck next season.
