Biggest Risers in the 2023 Prospect Rankings:
Isaiah Schafer
Isaiah
Schafer

Bismarck Century | 2024
State
#246
Nation
ND
|6-1 G| Bismarck Century/ECI – New Rank #2 Previous Rank #3
Schafer is playing up a level in AAU ball and he is turning heads. He is mature beyond his years and extraordinarily skilled. Isaiah is a scary threat from 3-point land. Look for him to be a top guard in the WDA in the upcoming school season. The Patriot coaches have to be excited about this young star.
Deng Deng

Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2024
State
ND
|6-4 G/F| Four Winds-Minnewaukan – New Rank #3 Previous Rank #7
Deng is an elite-level athlete and a human-highlight-reel. He is freakishly athletic. Deng already has State Tournament experience, so he should come into the season ready to roll. His length and leaping ability make him a shot-blocker and a great rebounder. Deng can be tough defender. Look out for this young gun, he will be one of the best in B.
Carson Haerer

Bottineau | 2024
State
ND
|5-11 G| Bottineau/ND Attack – New Rank #10 Previous Rank #11
Haerer is a deadeye shooter from downtown. If you give him an inch, he will take a foot. His shooting stands out, but his feel for the game is what really impresses me. Carson never seems to get rattled. He plays the game calmly, coolly, and collected. I see him as one of the best young guards in Class B next year.
Luke Martinson
Luke
Martinson
6'4" | PF
Sargent County | 2024
State
ND
|6-5 F| Sargent County – New Rank #16 Previous Rank #17
Martinson is a physical and athletic post player. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and does not back down from bigger and older players. He was impressive last year, if he comes into the season with the same attitude he could make some noise. Luke is a hard worker with a tough mentality. I see him as a top young post in Class B.
Jace Jochim
Jace
Jochim
6'1" | SG
Linton/HMB | 2024
State
ND
|5-11 G| Linton-HMB/ECI – New Rank #17 Previous Rank #19
Jochim is a pure shooter. He can light the nets on fire. With the Lions graduating some studs, Jace will be asked to fill their roles. Look for Jochim to be a big-time producer next year. In AAU he has been very solid. He scores at all levels, especially from mid-range in spring ball. Look out for this special player from Linton.
Javin Friesz Javin Friesz 6'2" | CG Flasher | 2024 State ND |6-1 G| Flasher – New Rank #23 Previous Rank #24
Friesz is a pure basketball player. Scoring buckets seems to run in his family. Javin can shoot it from 3-point range with the best of him. He was All-Region this past season. Friesz moves well and knows the game inside and out. Watch out for the Bulldogs and the name Friesz this coming year.
