<p>The class of 2024 has a lot of talented players already emerging and I am excited to see which players can truly make a big impact on their teams in the upcoming seasons. Many of these players are still waiting to receive their first varsity minutes, but their time spent at the lower levels has already shown promise and the upcoming summers will truly prove who rises to the top. As these players finally get to play at the highest level, we will see who can hang with the big boys. Continue reading for a look at the top players from the class of 2024 initial ranking.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1171712" first="Mason" last="Brown"], Lapwai:</strong> The Wildcats have a strong group of freshmen that will contribute big time in upcoming seasons. Brown has all of the skills of a great point guard and he is working to increase his shooting accuracy and developing into a more physical guard on both ends of the floor.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1171713" first="Eli" last="Newell"], Bonners Ferry:</strong> At Bonners Ferry, Newell is already making his mark on the program and will be a true centerpiece for the team in the future. Newell has a great feeling for the game and already has developed a high level basketball IQ. Watch for Eli to be a true scoring machine in the next few seasons.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1171711" first="Wesley" last="Nelson"], Aberdeen:</strong> Wesley is a tough defender and gifted scorer for Aberdeen. He has the ability to guard anyone on the floor and he plays with tons of effort and energy. On offense, Nelson can score at the rim with either hand and is developing his long range jump shot to become a truly dynamic scorer.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1171714" first="Aiden" last="Tackett"], Canyon Ridge:</strong> Tackett is one of the toughest defenders in the class of 2024 and he constantly impacts the game on the defensive end. He plays hard every possession and can produce a lot of turnovers from the opposing team. It is not rare to see him snag a couple of steals per game and he does an excellent job of playing the passing lanes.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1171710" first="Gatlin" last="Bair"], Kimberly:</strong> Gatlin is one of the best players in the class of 2024 and already earned conference player of the year honors. He can score at all three levels and has shown the ability to score on anyone and everyone. Watch for Gatlin to defend his conference player of the year status next season as he continues to advance his skills.</p>
