This is an exciting event as we formally introduce the class of 2024 ranking in the state of Idaho! Over the next three seasons, I am sure a lot more great players will be added to the list, but is always an honor to be recognized in the initial ranking for producing quality basketball during your freshman year. Many of these players will go on to be key contributors for their teams by the time that they are seniors and have the keys to the program in their hands. Continue reading for a look at a few of the newcomers to the initial ranking for the class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id="1171620" first="Kase" last="Wynott"], Lapwai: In his first season of high school basketball, Kase was already a major contributor for Lapwai and helped produce another state championship. Kase can score at will and plays the offensive side of the game at a very high level. On defense, Wynott plays hard and fast and does a great job of flying around and wreaking havoc for offensive players. Watch for Wynott to have a great career at Lapwai.

[player_tooltip player_id="1171624" first="Reed" last="Whatcott"], Kellogg: Whatcott was a key part of the Kellogg offense this season as a freshman and will look to expand his game in upcoming seasons. He is already a fiery point guard who will continue to work on his game as he grows bigger and stronger. Watch for Reed to be a leader of the Kellogg program in a short time.

[player_tooltip player_id="1171623" first="Tyler" last="Thurston"], Cascade: Thurston is a great point guard for Cascade already and he made a big impact this past season. Tyler can do a little bit of everything for the team and his ability to score at the rim and shoot from outside will continue to help him as he gets more comfortable with the high school game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1171621" first="Noah" last="Palomares"], Victory Charter: Noah had an excellent run with Victory Charter in his first season with the varsity squad. Noah was a constant source of instant offense and always created a spark when VC needed it most. Watch for Noah to become a top player at the program by his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1171622" first="Cache" last="Beus"], Melba: Cache is already a centerpiece for a really good Melba team and he anchors the middle on defense. Beus could be a scary player if he continues to grow and he already has a really solid and fundamental skillset to build off of.
