Amari Edwards – Dream Chasers Elite – 2025:
Edwards caught my attention in his 8:00 AM game this Saturday. A smooth, balanced player who played well at the point guard spot. Found himself at the line often. Turns defense into offense in transition with accurate outlet passing. A talented young player that clearly has a passion for the game. Finished with 19 points.
Jaiden Holloman – NEBC – 2025:
A crafty, quick lefty point guard that scored 30 points on Saturday. He’s slippery in the lane and can weave through traffic easily. A natural player that can pass, drive, and handle the ball effortlessly. Has a good foundation at a young age.
Keegan Vankauwenberg – Wisconsin Crusaders Premier – 2025:
A lengthy, tall forward out of Wisconsin. Made a few impressive plays on the day, including a bank-floater in the second half of his first game on Saturday. Has developed skills for his size. Made sharp passes and calculated plays. Every now and then he would hit a pull up three or make a pass that really caught my attention. Finished with 20 points in his first, many of those coming from the free-throw line.
Dion Freeman – YMOM Diamonds In The Rough – 2024:
A very strong player scoring the ball. Made some athletic moves in the lane, hop-stepping around the defense. Is an accurate outside shooter when left open. He’s dangerous in the mid-range, meaning the defense needs to stick by him at all times. He’s capable of exploiting defensive weaknesses. A good frame and an athletic touch, too.
Tyler Haney – Wisconsin SOYL Elite – 2025:
A vicious attacking guard with the size and skill components to be effective around the rim. He is tough to stay in front of with a full head of steam. Can finish in a variety of ways, even over and around defenders. Gets to the line often and converts. An isolation-style point guard.
Dryson Jordan – Mid Mo Elite – 2026:
An advanced attacker and first option offensively. Has a keen eye for what gaps to hit. His first step helps him reach the driving lanes. Made some highly contested looks around the rim and complimented it with a few threes. He’s a young player but has a great foundation to expand on.
Keshaun Vaval – Team Rose – 2025:
A guard with a good feel for the game already. He’s able to shoot off the dribble but doesn’t force the outside shot. His handle and athletic abilities are a big part of his offensive arsenal. The threat of a drive usually opens up a three-point look. He scored 26 on Saturday.
JJ Zavatchin – Chapman North – 2026:
An impressive inside scorer that is already developing a back-to-the-basket skillset. He’s usually the tallest kid on the court, which helps him get rebounds and second-chance looks. Knows where to position himself in the offense. He can stretch the floor with his ability to dish to teammates and dribble.
