The Class of 2021 rankings have been updated for the start of this late season and since our last go-around a number of new names have popped onto the radar for this iteration. Here’s a closer look at the top newcomers to the list.

#3 - [player_tooltip player_id="855929" first="Dane" last="Erikstrup"], Beaverton

Erikstrup jumps back into the rankings after starting the fall down in Arizona. The 6-foot-10 post is already making a big impact both inside and outside for the Beavers this season. He’s signed with Cal Poly Pomona.

#5 - [player_tooltip player_id="855926" first="Nathan" last="Meithof"], McNary

Meithof is another returnee to the state having gone to California in the fall before returning to McNary this spring. The 6-foot-5 swingman should be among the 6A leaders in both scoring and rebounding. He recently committed to Westmont (CA).

#57 - [player_tooltip player_id="1106395" first="Jackson" last="Gielish"], Pleasant Hill

Gielish is a physical big man who can face up and knock down jumpers. He was a key post for the Billies last season and signed early with Bushnell.

#61 - [player_tooltip player_id="1110562" first="Alex" last="Newkirk"], Oregon City

Newkirk was a supporting cast member at Oregon City last season but has proven this year he’s up to the task of being a main man, averaging over 20 ppg so far. The combo guard who’s the son of Oregon City head coach Aaron Newkirk signed early with Multnomah.

#64 - [player_tooltip player_id="1174344" first="Micah" last="Colburn"], Damascus Christian

Coburn is one of the top small school players in the state and helped lead Damascus Christian to the cusp of the 1A title last year. He’s a physical combo guard who can really score the ball. He signed to go out of state at Lincoln Christian.

#66 - [player_tooltip player_id="1181855" first="Cayden" last="Lowenbach"], Crook County

Crook County is having a fast start to the season and Lowenbach has been a big piece of the puzzle. The all-purpose 6-foot-6 wing/forward can score in a variety of ways and has already decided to do that at the college level at Linfield

#74 - [player_tooltip player_id="1174258" first="Zane" last="Bernhard"], Liberty

Bernhard is proving himself as a big sleeper so far this season. The 6-foot-2 combo guard worked hard on improving his leadership skills and works hard on both ends of the floor. He’s currently looking over his college options.

#85 - [player_tooltip player_id="1185468" first="Garrett" last="Olson"], South Wasco County

Olson is another small school sleeper who got on our radar thanks to the help of high school coaches who saw him over the summer at some informal basketball tournaments. He’s 6-foot-5, athletic, and could be a steal for a small school or junior college program.

#98 - [player_tooltip player_id="1169615" first="Clark" last="Sheehan"], Lakeridge

Sheehan is a high-academic performer who’s played in relative obscurity at Lakeridge because of the lack of Pacer team success in recent years. He’s got a solid build at 6-foot-3 and has shown so far this year he’s a major threat from three-point range.

#105 - [player_tooltip player_id="1169620" first="Finn" last="Hilden"], Ashland

Hilden is another shooter that’s hidden down in Southern Oregon. At 6-foot-3 he has decent size on the wing and he is capable of hitting threes at a high percentage.
