The Class of 2021 had its difficulties when it comes to recruiting because a lot of players didn’t get exposure till late in the game and even at that college coaches had a hard time recruiting as well. Utah has a few talented Class of 2021 prospects still available. Here is a short list of them.

6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="755626" first="Jackson" last="Holcombe"] | Timpanogos High School |

Jackson has been one of the biggest D1 sleepers in the state as he has proven to be a do it all type of player. Jackson can get that shoot off from deep and he can shoot at a high percentage. Makes some great straight-line drives to the basket and has the ability to finish through contact with both left and right hands. Jackson also has some bounce to his game. Can play 2-3 and can defend the 4 as well. He will be going on some official visits as he has Portland State scheduled but is still on a lot of team’s radar as the need to fill that wing position.

6’11 [player_tooltip player_id="966026" first="Preston" last="Squire"] | Layton High School |

Preston is a stretch 5/4 player that plays well in the perimeter. He is tough down inside on the blocks. Good motor. Like the way he gets up and down the floor. He has been recruited by a few Division 1 schools. He’s got good length and can finish over both shoulders. Solid with his 15-foot game. Solid LM prospect.

6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="1041879" first="Connor" last="Saunders"] | Syracuse High School |

Intriguing prospect. Connor has the talent to land on a D1 roster he has been recruited by some D2 and NAIA schools. Connor that a high motor and will. Connor is out seeking good spots and he is efficient. Really like his inside out game. He is a straight-line driver that can get to the rim.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="955325" first="Tobey" last="Schmitt"] | American Fork High School |

Strong player that has a lot of grit. Tobey plays with a lot of strength and he is quick for a bigger stronger player. Tobey is solid inside of 15 feet. Tobey has been working on his perimeter game. He is a load inside on the blocks. He would kill it at a small school like a NAIA, D2 or NWAC school.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1095803" first="Peter" last="Amakasu"] | Lehi High School |

Peter is a hidden gem out here in Utah, he has only been here for a year as he came over from California to get a basketball season in and he is a winner. He handles well, he is strong and athletic. Shoots well from outside. could be a major find for a school looking for a good CG.
