2021, SG, 6-foot-2, RFS Elite

News: [player_tooltip player_id="775657" first="Jabahri" last="Mastin"] committed to Vol State.

Andrew’s Angle: Mastin joins [player_tooltip player_id="537365" first="Joshua" last="Alexander"] as ’21 Blackman Blaze graduates headed to the college game. Mastin is a lanky wing with some touch.

[player_tooltip player_id="1137154" first="Kennedy" last="Pendergrass"] (Fairview) Ranked #52 in TN

2022, SG, 6-foot-1, Stars-Premiere 17u

Latest Looks: Kennedy is coming off a wonderful junior season with Fairview and is very early into his college recruitment. A few college coaches have reached out to his AAU coach. Again, it is very early for all of those relationships.

Andrew’s Angle: Kennedy is more shooting guard than lead guard. Though he stands 6-foot-1, KP played tall last winter. According to Fairview Head Coach Trey McCoy Pendergrass really devoted himself to the weight room early in his high school career and continues to benefit from that sustained effort. Considering the variety of ways that Pendergrass can score the basketball he will certainly find a college home.

Kennedy Chandler (University of Tennessee signed) Formerly Ranked #2 in TN

2021, PG, 6-foot-0, MoKan 17u

News: NBADraft.net predicts that Kennedy will be draft 8th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Andrew’s Angle: Kennedy was among the top 5 players in the state for two years, what would have been three had not he moved to Sunrise Christian (KS) for his senior season. NBADraft.net is just ok at predicting the draft. It really is challenging, unlike the NFL Draft. The website has been way off before, but usually gets guys within 5-10 spots at least. That Kennedy is considered by that website to be a top 3 point guard in the entire draft is an honor.

Brandon Huntley-Hatfield

2021, SF, 6-foot-9, Scotland Prep (PA)

News: NBADraft.net predicts that Brandon will be drafted 5th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Andrew’s Angle: Brandon played for Clarksville Academy prior to moving to I.M.G. Academy in Florida. This last winter he was at Scotland Prep (PA). Even though he was among the top 10 players in his 2022 class Brandon elected to reclass "up" to 2021 and join the University of Tennessee recruiting class. He will be a freshman in 2021-2022.

Jordan Harris

2021, SF, 6-foot-9, East Hamilton HS

News: Jordan Harris signed to Cleveland State Community College.

Andrew’s Angle: Jordan is a versatile scorer capable of playing either guard position. He can slash or shoot from a spot.

[player_tooltip player_id="537234" first="Brandon" last="Maclin"] Ranked #20 in TN

2021, SG, 6-foot-4, Tennessee Blazers 17u

News: [player_tooltip player_id="537234" first="Brandon" last="Maclin"] is running with Tennessee Blazers to show off his wonderful college-ready game. Unsigned.

Andrew’s Angle: Brandon can help a D2 team, even a SWAC D1 squad. Maclin gets dinged by recruiters, possibly because he is built like a shooting guard or football linebacker and not a typical point guard. He defends like a hound and plays every game to win. Wonderful competitor with both toughness and character.
