2021 Top Available Small Forwards

<p>The 2021 wing class has gone through a lot of changes over the past couple of months with prospects reclassifying into 2022. Patrick School National wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="933658" first="Brendan" last="Mykalcio"]</strong> was one of the top available prospects, but he is off the board as he committed to Gardner-Webb. The group is still filled with talented players who will be able to make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available small forwards in the 2021 class.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1046460" first="Kareem" last="Ewell"], 6’6 Patrick School</strong></p> <p>Ewell stepped up in a big way for the Celtics as he had numerous big moments for them. The 6’6 forward hit the go-ahead layup in a win against Roselle Catholic and hit a pair of clutch free throws to knock off Hun. Ewell has a good handle and is able to finish around the rim. He also has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Ewell’s ability to make plays in the clutch is something that will benefit him greatly at the next level.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900313" first="Matteo" last="Strikker"], 6’5 Patrick School National</strong></p> <p>Strikker is a play-making wing who should make an impact right away. The 6’5 wing plays with good court vision and is capable of threading the needle. Strikker has a good handle which he uses to break his defender down off the bounce. Strikker moves his feet well on the defensive end and has the potential to defend multiple positions. Strikker’s versatility on the perimeter is something that should intrigue coaches at the next level.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1012969" first="Keyontae" last="Huff"], 6’8 Olympus Prep</strong></p> <p>Huff has been one of the more under the radar wings in the class, but he has an opportunity to make an impact at the next level. The 6’8 lefty is at his best attacking the basket as he loves to finish above the rim with authority. Huff knows how to push the tempo in transition as he uses his athleticism to make plays in the open court. He plays with good instincts on the defensive end and is a strong rebounder. Huff’s combination of athleticism and skill is something that should help him make an impact next season.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="933735" first="Stefano" last="Faloppa"], 6’8 Holy Cross Prep</strong></p> <p>There is a strong chance that Faloppa does a post grad year, but currently he is part of the 2021 class. The 6’8 Italian native is comfortable playing on the perimeter as he has a nice handle and makes good passes. Faloppa has a strong frame which he uses to finish through contact around the basket. He is a good shot-blocker and elevates for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Faloppa is a skilled wing prospect who will make a team better at the next level.</p> <p><strong>Jaeden Jefferson, 6’6 Covenant College Prep</strong></p> <p>Jefferson is a scoring wing prospect and has the potential to make an impact very early in his collegiate career. The 6’6 wing has a smooth release on his jumper and has a potent fadeaway jumper in the mid-range. Jefferson shoots the ball with confidence from distance, but can also get to the basket and finish. His length gives him the ability to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated passer.
