This past weekend, several of Oregon’s top AAU squads fanned out to different events held in California, Washington, and Missouri. We got a chance to catch some games both live and on demand on the BallerTV stream and here are some of the top performers we saw.

Dane Erikstrup, Oregon Prospects

It’s been a bit since we last saw Erikstrup play but he certainly showed no signs of rust playing with the Prospects. The 6-foot-10 post has really emerged as a stretch threat and he was draining threes all weekend long with his smooth stroke. Erikstrup also showed off some tough moves down low and did well rebounding the basketball. He’s signed with Cal Poly Pomona but look for some big news from him and his camp on May 1.

Kahlil Singleton, Team Jones Oregon

Technically Singleton is from Washington as he has attended Fort Vancouver HS, but he’s a native of North Portland. The 6-foot-2 combo guard was virtually unstoppable offensively most of the weekend, scoring at all three levels but especially draining threes. He exploded for 46 points in the team’s second game and we’re pretty sure that was the top effort in the event. Singleton is currently looking at reclassifying to 2023.

Andrew Vaughan, Team Jones Oregon

Vaughan was an eye-opener for us as this was our first extended viewing of him - and we liked what we saw. At 6-foot-3 he has good size for a wing and he showed a very high motor on both sides of the basketball and especially on the boards when he outfought taller and bigger players. The Portland Adventist unsigned senior has a smooth shot from the outside, can create off of the dribble, and finish while absorbing contact.

[player_tooltip player_id="861087" first="Esyah" last="Pippa-White"], Oregon A-Train Magic Grey

Pippa-White has been a relative newcomer to this team but he’s been quickly fitting in well at the point. The 6-foot guard has clearly added some muscle to his frame which has helped him get past defenders and to the rim. The Gresham sophomore was sharp with his outside shooting and his overall floor leadership and court vision continue to get better and better with more experience.

[player_tooltip player_id="857371" first="Logan" last="Thebiay"], International Elite 2022

On a game to game basis, Thebiay was the rock in the middle for International Elite during their four games at the PrepHoops Circuit event in Kansas City. With his 6-foot-10, thick frame he effectively created space in the lane to grab boards and get physical on D with opposing post players. While the Wilsonville junior wasn’t a focal point offensively, he showed the ability to face up and knock down open mid-range jumpers.

Some other players that had solid performances:
