It has been a tough time for seniors over the past year. That is why I will continue to promote those who remain unsigned. Please reach out to me on my socials regarding additional players without a home.

I consider these articles of great importance. It only takes one school to reach out to anyone of these kids and give them a chance.

Let’s take a look at some prospects...

Javen Bailey - McArthur

Bailey led the Mustangs in scoring (17.5 ppg) and 3-pointers made (42) this past season. I saw the 6-foot-2 guard shine against Stranahan with 23 points and four 3-pointers in a 54-52 victory. Bailey scored 20 or more points in seven games and knocked down three or more 3-pointers in eight contests. He is an aggressive player with a knack for the big shot. Against Mater Academy Charter (21-3), Bailey scored 20 points and had four rebounds. He is a nice rebounding guard for his size, collecting 67 on the season. You can also count on him to go after and guard the opponents best player. He is a kid that is hungry to prove himself.
[player_tooltip player_id="1172760" first="Christian" last="Soto"] - Champagnat Catholic

Soto is a playmaking guard that averaged 12 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Lions last season. He is also an excellent student with a 4.2 GPA and 1000 SAT. The 5-foot-11 guard is tough in transition and welcomes contact at the rim. Moreover, he uses his body well to grab rebounds off the glass. I thought this was especially evident on the offensive end. He also has good vision and can make the extra pass in motion. Soto plays equally hard on defense and has active hands. He will play with a chip on his shoulder on both ends of the floor.
[player_tooltip player_id="1143894" first="Alejandro" last="Caripidis"] - Dr. Krop

Caripidis finished second in scoring (11.7 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (3.3 rpg) for the Lightning last season. The 6-foot-2 guard also shot 44 percent from the field for Dr. Krop. The senior captain scored in double-figures in ten of 14 contests. Against Sunset (14-8), Caripidis scored a season-high 21 points on 7-of-10 from the field. He also pulled down a season-best eight rebounds against Miami High. Caripidis has good size as an on-ball defender and recorded 16 steals (1.1 spg) on the season. He holds a 4.2 weighted and 3.62 unweighted GPA in the classroom. Check out his highlights by clicking here.

[player_tooltip player_id="1068761" first="Jordan" last="Santiago"] - Charlotte (Punta Gorda)

While I mostly cover South Florida, I am giving Santiago a push on the west coast. The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 6.2 points, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game last season via MaxPreps. Moreover, Santiago shot 50 percent from the field and 45 percent from the perimeter. Against Lehigh (19-9), he scored 12 points on 4-of-6 from deep. He clearly has range and offensive ability to score on all levels with his length. Santiago also runs the floor well for his frame. He helped the Fightin’ Tarpons to a 21-10 record and a spot in the Class 6A final four.
