Top Available: 2021 Forwards

As always, Georgia is ripe with talent. Living in an unprecedented time, there is more unsigned impactful talent left than there ever has been before this late in the game. Here’s a look at some of the top players from Georgia still available.

6-10 C [player_tooltip player_id="806745" first="Isaiah" last="Nelson-Ododa"] – Winder-Barrow

[player_tooltip player_id="806745" first="Isaiah" last="Nelson-Ododa"] has major upside. He shoots the three, blocks shots and has a soft turnaround jumper out of the low post that is unguardable. Tennessee Tech and Alabama A&M have offered over the spring. Once he gets time in the weight room and improves on playing through contact, Nelson-Ododa could become a major steal.

6-9 C [player_tooltip player_id="869635" first="Corey" last="Thomas"] – Cherokee Bluff

[player_tooltip player_id="869635" first="Corey" last="Thomas"] has put a broken leg in the rearview mirror. Another intriguing prospect, Thomas can shoot the three exceptionally well and is a game-altering shot blocker inside. Thomas is a solid rebounder and has a nice hook shot in the lane. Clayton State and Truett-McConnell have offered. He has D-I talent in my book.

6-7 SF [player_tooltip player_id="869625" first="Derrick" last="Brown"] – Monroe Area

It’s shocking that [player_tooltip player_id="869625" first="Derrick" last="Brown"] isn’t swimming in offers. The inside-out swingman had a big senior season. He’s mobile and can get to the rim with a smooth glide. Brown can shoot the three and can post-up on the low block where he has nice footwork. With his athleticism and well-rounded skill set –capable of defending multiple positions – Brown is going to be a really good pickup late in the game.

6-6 W [player_tooltip player_id="948585" first="Kervens" last="Yacinthe"] – Paulding County

The southpaw scores in bunches. Maryville College is the latest to offer. With his length, Yacinthe is difficult to defend. He finds a way to get to his left and can extend to the hoop where defenders can’t block his shot. Yacinthe has deep range from three and will pull without hesitation. When on an island, Yacinthe has the handle to breakdown his man and get to his spots.

6-6 W [player_tooltip player_id="806732" first="Brinton" last="Wright"] – Wayne County

BJ Wright is an inside-out swingman that stuffs the stat sheet. There isn’t much that he can’t do on the court. He averaged 14.8 points, 11 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks. Wright has had D-I potential his entire career. Heading to Wayne County has been a good change of scenery. JUCO’s have shown plenty of interest in the talented wing.
