On Tuesday, the latest edition of the 2023 Florida class rankings were released with a whopping 342 prospects.

We will release more articles pertaining to the soon-to-be junior class this week before revealing the newest 2022 rankings next Monday evening.

Here is a look at some stock-risers in the 2023 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="812630" first="Kris" last="Parker"] - 6-6 - G - Crossroads

A long bodied guard, Parker has really come along over the past year. He's a name I've heard about well before he arrived in high school and the hype was real. He can shoot it, handle the rock and swat shots away as a core defender. Ole Miss, UF, Samford, Detroit Mercy and Louisana Monroe have all offered. Getting bigger and stronger will benefit his all-around game this year.

Edgerrin James Jr. - 6-1 - G - Olympia

Going by the nickname Jizzle, James Jr. is the leader for Olympia and he is a huge piece for a deep E1T1 16U squad. Speedy, strong and smart, there isn't much James can't do out there as the top point man. James Jr. has a legitimate jump shot and can get to the rack often and put up points. Offers will come soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="1164246" first="James" last="Johns"] - 6-6 - G - The Rock

Moving down to Florida from Ohio, Johns fit in nicely at SIAA program The Rock. He is a lengthy guard who can shoot it with ease and is always an active defender. He comes up with nifty steals in transition and in set plays. With offers out from Miami, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, Johns is going to have a major role in his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="962495" first="Kjei" last="Parker"] - 6-2 - G - Bartow

Transferring over from Kathleen, Parker settled in right out of the gates for a deep Bartow squad. He helped his new team win its second straight Class 6A state title. Netting 15 points in that state title win over Mater Academy, Parker showed poised as a shooter, driver and lock down defender. Parker is going to take over the reins of the backcourt and he should excel at a high level at the Polk County program.

[player_tooltip player_id="962442" first="Jaylen" last="Smith"] - 5-11 - G - Edgewater

Speed and hops are what Smith brings to the table when you first see him play. He can get up on the rim as a dunker and finisher. The Edgewater point man is a fine athlete and a prospect who can make everyone around him better with his creativeness and high IQ. Smith is in for a banner junior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id="709229" first="David" last="Delancy"] - 6-4 - G - Somerset Pines

Growing in height and maturity on the court, Delancy is a gifted athlete. Always an impressive aimed shooter, he is getting inside to good spots more often than not now. Adding more muscle to his already solid frame will boost his stock. Delancy can fill up a stat sheet in a hurry and he is carving out a name for himself already.

[player_tooltip player_id="709247" first="PJ" last="Paulk"] - 6-2 - G - Northwestern

Doubling as a wide receiver for the Northwestern football team, Paulk is one the toughest athletes in the Miami area. A true aggressor at the point of attack on the court, he certainly doesn't turn away any challenge in front of him. Paulk is really good in transition and he can hurt you with his mid-range jumper as well. The sky is the limit for him.

[player_tooltip player_id="709246" first="Carl" last="Parrish"] - 6-1 - G - Norland

Norland always has talent and the young nucleus in place is full of promise. Parrish is part of the success and he is already doing major things. A steady ballhandler and locked-in shooter, Parrish can score in a hurry and push the tempo along the way. I expect him to have a breakout summer and carry that into a solid campaign this fall in high school ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1060163" first="Kervin" last="Knaggs"] - 6-1 - G - Auburndale

Polk County always has speedy and athletic guards and Knaggs fits the bill. In a home win over Bartow this past season, I came away super impressed by his grit and effort level. He didn't back down from the tall task and he drives to the paint with purpose. More time in the gym will only boost his stock as Knaggs takes on an even bigger role this upcoming year as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id="962396" first="Henry" last="Hurst"] - 6-0 - G - East Lake

Looking for a strong and confident guard? Then Hurst is your guy. It is his team now at East Lake heading into his junior season. A keen shooter and active rebounder, Hurst has been tasked to do a lot of the dirty work down low and defensively. He broke out as a freshman, hitting a few big 3's in the Sun Bash (SUN Final) win over Paxon. Hurst told me he is working on adding more muscle. If he attacks more consistently, he'll be hard to contain.
