Pro Resolution Boys Showcase: Eye-Openers Part 2

<p>And here we’ve got 7<span style="font-size: 1rem;"> more from Sunday’s Pro Resolution Showcase at Cass, brought to us by Jarrett Christian and the guys at Pro Movement.</span></p> <p><em><strong>Aaron Oh, 6-0, CG, Mill Creek, 2022</strong></em></p> <p>Talk about unassuming, not an "All-Bus" team member but all he did was make everyone around him better, make great decisions, and convert his chances when they came his way, excellent on the drive and dish and showed solid range out to the arc.</p> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1047093" first="Chase" last="Ballard"], 5-9, PG, Stephenson, 2021</strong></em></p> <p>How many lists does Ballard have to make before someone takes a chance on him? If your program is more interested in a great young man who simply produces every time out on the floor then a look here is mandatory, continues to slice up defenses whether it’s with the GA Canes or at the variety of showcases around town, tremendous shooting range makes him even harder to guard and his on-ball defense and hands rank as high as any guard in the class.  </p> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="952581" first="Izaiyah" last="Nelson"], 6-8, PF, Marietta, 2022</strong></em></p> <p>Certainly the afternoon’s breakout big man, I had heard a lot of goof things prior but to see him get up and down the flood and flush at the basket with authority was impressive, he’s got terrific instincts as a shot eraser as well and cleared the glass like no one on hand at the event, showed a little handle as well out above the arc creating space for a 15-foot face-up game which drew some ooh and aahs from the coaches and media present, part of an exciting nucleus coming back for the Blue Devils and one to watch as his recruitment heats up rapidly.</p> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="869601" first="Jens" last="Rueckert"], 6-4, SF, South Cobb, 2021</strong></em></p> <p>Teamed with GA Canes teammate Ballard on many a sweet finish off the break as is his way and as is his greatest strength, gets to the rim like few others his size in the metro and continues to sizzle with the exciting plays coming off the wing, that lift makes him a versatile defender and offensively as his shooting range continues to improve that face-up game will be integral to him catching on at the next level.</p> <p><em><strong>Christian Johnson, 6-3, SG, Westlake, 2021 (pictured above)</strong></em></p> <p>The Westlake kids play so hard and are clearly so well-drilled it’s a pleasure to watch, Johnson was one of the day’s best shooters with a gorgeous stroke that was both pure and quick, has good size and showed he could handle the ball as well making him a versatile option for a next-level program.</p> <p><em><strong>Donald Davis, 6-3, SF, Westlake, 2021</strong></em></p> <p>Gritty and gutty playing as an undersized forward of sorts but no less effective because of the effort and deceptive skill level, plays hard inside but does have perimeter shooting in the arsenal, bangs and claws on the glass and plays sound defense, part 2 of the Lions duo that impressed.</p> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="949917" first="Eric" last="Howard"], 6-0, CG, Marietta, 2022</strong></em></p> <p>Played with Blue Devil teammate [player_tooltip player_id="952581" first="Izaiyah" last="Nelson"] and looked comfortable at either guard post, was a pain the neck all day out-hustling and out-thinking his opponents, great passer and active hands on D, got downhill surprisingly easy to the basket a few times at only 6-0 and also pulled up when out at range when he had the ball in his hands. </p>
