Unsigned 2021 guard Greg Jenkins shines for EG10
While EG10 guard Ryan Conwell Ryan Conwell 6'2" | SG Pike | 2022 State #155 Nation IN typically steals the show, his backcourt partner Greg Jenkins was a crucial part of the team’s 2-0 record on Saturday. Jenkins provides great size on the perimeter and has very good ability to create his own shots. Against D1 Minnesota, Jenkins led all scorers with 21 points on 6-of-10 from the field and scored in multiple ways. He hit a few 3’s, scored at the rim and also went 7-of-8 from the free throw line. He can do a little bit of everything, while playing both on and off of the ball.
2022 PF Shilo Jackson stock is rising
EG10 provides a lot of good pieces next to Conwell and in the front court it is Shilo Jackson. The 6-foot-9 forward had a very solid Saturday and helped his stock a lot with some solid performances. He had 14 points and 6 rebounds against D1 Minnesota and was extremely active on the offensive end. Jackson showed great touch and footwork around the basket and put pressure on the defense every possession with his ability to run the floor on makes or misses.
2022 wing Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN continues to fly under-the-radar
Playing for a very talented Team Teague, Suder isn’t the star of the team but is probably the most important piece. He showed his ability to hit multiple outside shots on Saturday that led to a very good all-around day. He is a willing defender and showed the ability to lock in on that end of the floor. Suder can play both on and off of the ball and provides tons of versatility with his size and skillset on both ends of the floor.
2022 PG Ryan Conwell Ryan Conwell 6'2" | SG Pike | 2022 State #155 Nation IN shows off floor general skills
What more is there to say about Conwell than he is an emerging star. Conwell didn’t have his best shooting game, just 6-of-13 against D1 Minnesota, but finished with 17 points. He showed his ability to hit outside shots with three made 3’s, still got to the rim with his quick first step and probably his best asset on Saturday, which was his passing. Conwell was always looking ahead and made many terrific full court passes on made or misses to teammates running the floor. In half court settings, he rarely forced much and when his shot wasn’t falling, he was able to put pressure on the defense by getting into the middle of lane and creating for his teammates with drop off or wrap around passes. His ability to play at his own speed is a skill you can’t teach.
