A terrific weekend of hoops in Kansas City at the prep hoops live event, let’s take a look at some of the notes from the guard spot on this weekend at the #PHLive who had some length and could fill a wing role for a club.

Dane Foster, 6’5 Guard/Wing, Rise and Grind Unsigned Senior Team: Foster has paired together a nice Unsigned Senior camp and #PHLive period in a couple week span which should bode well for him moving forward. He has great length on the perimeter and he played with more of that confidence this weekend. Foster had about 8 in the game I watched and was able to get good shots for himself in transition and off the bounce. He is a tough cover on the perimeter with his shot creation and length.

[player_tooltip player_id="889480" first="Jack" last="Webb"], 6’4 Guard/Wing, Rise and Grind Unsigned Senior Team: Webb had his do it all style of game going on in the game I watched this weekend, he can influence the game in so many ways. Great knack for rebounding, kicking ahead, moving without the ball, and has great toughness to him. Webb can also knock down shots, and score in the painted area. He also had 8 in the game I watched of his.

[player_tooltip player_id="1146300" first="Eli" last="Oliver"], 6’3 Guard/Wing, SSA 2023 White (Pictured): Oliver’s consistent rise through the class of 2023 continues as his momentum from the school season has carried over into two quality weekends in the Prep Hoops Circuit. At the #PHLive he shot the ball well and torched a 3/2 zone in one of their games. He also hit a couple of nice mid range shots off cuts and off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180549" first="Mason" last="Rumsey"], 6’3 Guard/Wing, 816 Varsity: Rumsey is a fun wing player to watch go, he is a crafty passer, a smooth shooter (especially in the corners), and can provide some athleticism out from the perimeter. He had a monster 19 point game against South Florida AAU where he put together the whole offensive package. Rumsey provides so much for your team on both ends of the floor, cause on defensive his instincts and his long arms allow him to wreck things on the defensive side.

[player_tooltip player_id="889508" first="Ty" last="Henry"], 6’4 Guard/Wing, Kansas Hoggs 2022: Henry had a solid weekend for the Hoggs group that went 4-0 in their pool. He knocked down shots off the catch and bounce at an efficient clip, handled some pressure with the ball in his hands, and provided some good rebounding on both ends. His length always brings a different dynamic out on the perimeter and is a tough cover.
