<p>Prep Hoops Missouri continues its spotlight features on grassroots programs with a look at the Missouri Hawks 17U squad. Last summer, this was a 16U team that played up at the 17U level in every grassroots tournament. All are Class of 2022 kids except for one.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1045830" first="Alex" last="Benassi"] 6’3 Lee’s Summit: A Class 6 All-State point guard who averaged 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in helping lead the Tigers to the state quarterfinals.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="993521" first="Corde" last="Brown"] 6’1 Capital City: A strong combo guard who has been one of the building blocks to Capital City's new program. He is strong on the drive and rebounds well from the guard position.</p>
<p>Owen Graham 6’8 North Andrew: An improving forward who averaged 12 points and eight rebounds in helping the Cardinals to a Final Four berth in the Class 2 state tournament. He is a skilled offensive player around the basket who can also pass and make perimeter shots.</p>
<p>Alex Kramer 6’3 Lee’s Summit: A solid wing player who has a very nice shooting stroke from 3-point range.</p>
<p>Brycen Larue 6’2 Lee’s Summit: An excellent all-purpose guard who averaged 13 points, three rebounds and nearly two steals a game for the Tigers, who advanced to the Class 6 state quarterfinals.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1161295" first="Lucas" last="Lyons"] 6’7 Lone Jack: A small-school 2023 big who can score around the basket with both hands. He can also step out and hit a 3-pointer. He has a big upside.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1139568" first="Luke" last="McDonald"] 6’3 Lee’s Summit: A solid wing player who averaged 8.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists for a state quarterfinals team.</p>
<p>Miles McGriff 5’10 Olathe South (KS); A solid point guard with good quickness and 3-point shooting ability. He is also a very capable defender who moves his feet and hawks the ball.</p>
<p>Mike Onunkwor 6’2 Jefferson City: An athletic guard who slashes to the basket well and get buckets on tough physical drives. he helped lead the Jays to a Class 6 district championship. Plays with a high motor.</p>
<p>Jace Trimble 5’10 Platte County: A very capable point guard with excellent handles and court vision to run the offense. He is a tremendous passer. Helped Platte County to a 20-win season.</p>
<p>Ryan Dobson 6’1 Park Hill: A tough wing player with a nice 3-point stroke combined with the ability to take it strong to the basket and score inside.</p>
<p>Corbin Yows 6’4 Lee’s Summit West: A nice sized wing player who handles the ball well and can drop dimes with his court vision. He can also hit a perimeter jumper.</p>
